No, you'd be struggling if you did. There used to be a phrase used on here 'flat track bullies' and that currently sums up Warrington's season. Should have beaten Wigan ..... but didn't, probably should have beaten St Helens ..... but didn't, probably should have beaten Leeds ..... but didn't.

It's something that Warrington will have to get to grips with if they want to win either of the two 'trophies' still up for grabs though. Perhaps starting this Sunday?




It's mattered in the past, Warrington have rarely raised their performance to that required. It'll be interesting to see if Tony Smith can change that for Warrington, he did at Leeds, so you can never say never. (If it can't be Leeds' season then Warrington would be my choice with it's ex Leeds connections, fellow underachievers, never been outed as salary cap cheats.)

I detect what the grown ups are discussing here is Warrington's ability to win the big games against the top sides when they come around.

I think Leeds' recent ability in that regard is already fairly well tested.
