We are not we are paying for what he delivers on the field; in terms of contribution he deserves to be amongst the top earners in the club.
A very high quality player - one of his problems is the inability of many of his team mates to mentally keep up with him. Watch him is anticipation and reading of the game is beyond virtually everyone else in the team.

I agree.
I think we need to invest in a top class prop to help Peacock and Bailey. Is Kylie out of contract next year?

Buderus is here for this season and I hope we win evrything with him in the side. After that who knows? Personally I prefer to see locals in the team wherever possible - I think its a cornerstone of the team spirit in the side to have so many Leeds juniors in the side.'"
You and me both brother.

We could probably still do that by releasing Diskin's wage though.

Leuluai is currently contracted at Leeds until the end of the 2011 season.

That excludes Lauitiiti alright but do you know where Brent Webb was born? The last time I looked Cairns was still in Australia.
I'm not sure why Kiwis and Australians would view their stays in the SL any different to each other. They're both working at the other side of the world afterall.

I'll be down in a minute, put the kettle on.
Peter Smith? It's early and it's the best I can do at this hour.

| Buderus is going nowhere he said he wants to stay here and is in talks about a new contract.
Whats with the stupid rumours ? don't you realise they do get back to the players and unsettle them. It's even more stupider that most of the false rumours are coming from so called Rhinos fans.

This particular Buderus rumour appears to be coming from the Australian media, fuelled by Buderus' agent.
You'd have to be pretty stupid not to realise that, wouldn't you?

| I think Buderus edges it as the better hooker so far this season.
That said, it's important to look at the number 9 position in the long-term. Realistically, how long is Buderus going to be around? I honestly cannot see him being here in 2012.
If we release Diskin and opt for Buderus with McShane as understudy, what happens if there is a long-term injury to either player, or if McShane/Hood simply don't make the grade?
If the rumours are to be believed, I'd prefer to keep the younger hooker who knows his mates inside out and has never let us down. Some people on here would call this sentimentality; I think it's the sensible approach.

So what's the point in holding onto a player who is far too good for the rest of the squad thus not getting the best out of him?

| Quote: Damo-Leeds "He was one of the shining lights in pre-season and I recon he would of done pretty well for Leeds this season hasn’t it been for the circumstances.
However I recon Buderus has got more than a few good games left in him at Leeds. I just hope that when he finally leaves we don’t have Matt Diskin gone by then. I think that’s the main worrying thing about this hooker factor we have going on at Leeds.'"
Reckon not recon
He would have done not would of done
Hadn't it been not hasn't it been
