Speaking as no lover of Senior or the Leeds club (their fans are mostly very sound so I have no issues with most of THEM), the Admiral makes a good point IMO.

Why should players even talk to the press?

Most of the time they stright make stuff up or misquote people.

I know it's slightly unrelated but after the non-sending off of Vidic at Wembley this afternoon by a referee who I believe sent 5 Man Utd players off last season (including 2 in the same game) and then got criticised by Sir Alex Ferguson, it shows maybe that criticising referees, although not the professional thing to do, sometimes gets results in the future.

True you can not blame the ref for shortcomings, and we should be above that.

But the club are wrong IMO to even consider disciplining Senior for those comments. His comments were spot on. Silverwood made that game about him. He was been arrogant, and if the RFL and Stuart Cummings had anything about them he would be disciplined for that performance. He would not have refereed a league game like that.

Shame really, because I have always been a fan of Silverwood before last night. But to get so many things wrong, is inexcusable.

Keith, you WERE right! Do players agree with referees just giving someone a ticking off for a dangerous spear tackle that has the potential of fatal results? Silverwood has now set a standard at play the balls and also how to plant an opponent in the ground head first. I would love to see in his next game as a referee, a player now turn round to Silverwood and say "You let Melbourne do that so why cant I!?"

Perhaps we should do the same as stains and request we dont get Silverwood ever again! Or the two muppets with the flags - I ask, how credable is the game when you have one of the chuckle brothers as an official????
