McGuire on the other hand was HOPELESS!!!
Must be Eastmond & Tompkins at half back next week.
The pack was outstanding and in the 2nd half even the backs who have been knocked were very good.'" thought mcguire did some poor things today but wasn't on his own and also saved at least 3 trys defusing kicks and plays! His defencive effort was bang on! eg when slater scored in the first half! Mcguires man was lockyer he covered him then almost stopped the best attacking fullback in the world! He did will to try and hold the line to say tom briscoe went walk about kevin penny style!
your Hopeless comment says you don't watch the full game and you have a hidden agenda! But your bang on re sinfield

| No hidden agenda at all - just saying what I saw!!!
McGuire had a hand in 3 of Aussies tries either with a poor decision, lack of pace, or a poor pass, which led to the Inglis interception try.
I like McGuire and think he's a very very good player but isn't good enough against Aussies or Kiwis - time to give the new blood of EASTMOND AND TOMPKINS a go next week.
We can't be any worse than we were in the first half.

| Its incredible that the usual suspects decide that an Aussie side 26-0 up at half time thought about anything in the 2nd half other than getting through it, they sat at 1st gear and cruised, which is commendable because if they had rattled up 60 what credibility would the International game have??
The only positive is that the change in intensity has set SL up to be a competitive brand, it just isn't.
And as for Sinfield, how many of you actually think he would make the starting 13 for any side in the NRL?
You lot talk absolute garbage, you're pathetic Leeds believests who think he can walk on water, today he was walking in treacle.

let me tell you what I saw! Lack of pace? he kept up with inglis who is one of the quickest centres in the world! Granted he didn't catch him but inglis didn't get away from him
second thing I can think of may be the slater try when mcguire did he job marking Lockyer then cover for others and nearly tackled arguably the quickest and best attacking fullback in the world!
for the intercept at this level burgess could have and should have taken that pass! and probably would have if he hadnt have knocked on the previous pass and wasn't a bag of nerves when he came on!

| Mcguires decision making and organisation at this intensity is poor he either dithers and gets caught in posession or drifts accross the field and gives a nothing ball eg flicking the ball at burgess.

I wasn't being altogether serious.
Will we ever see an England side capable of extended the Aussies past forty minutes in any given match?

| I thought sinfield was pretty poor in the 1st half and went missing.
When sinfield was moved to hooker in 2nd half I thought he played really well and took control of the ruck which roby can't do.
IMO sinfield should start as hooker next week against kiwis.

Is Sinfield now England's best option in the key position on the field despite not playing the position (except in an emergency) in club football?
Sad times.

IMO he should start at 9 next week and put roby back on bench where he makes a impact.
Scott Moore ain't ready for this level yet IMO so sinfield the only option

Agreed. We don't have footballers playing at 9, we missed the trick there. Do you think David Waite knew something everyone else didn't when he selected Sinny there all those years ago?
To be honest I just think we need Sinfield with his hands on the ball as much as possible, and 9 seems to fit that as well as anywhere else. At club level it's not required because the team is built around him to begin with.

Roby made no impact today. There were no quick PTB's and no scoots from dummy half. He was basically a small forward playing with big forwards. He is not needed on the bench, move a half back to dummy half if needed for short spells.
