I thought that bit was funny when I read it in the article, the pictures it conjures up! I then scrolled down to your comment and once again it's coffee on the keyboard.

It seems that JJB has got something out of the appeal. The charge of 'chicken wing' tackle has been removed. Other reports state that Saints officials are stating that Graham's injury was a direct result of a chicken wing tackle. I guess JJB can at least challenge that as it was a 'foul' tackle but not a 'chicken wing' . What is the £200 bond, is that a 'poultry' amount?

Anyway who was it that injured JJB with a 'chicken wing' tackle. ? I don't remember that far back.

I've seen it a few times the old chicken wing on Graham, and these are my two cents.
I don't think JJB went into that tackle purposely trying to 'chicken wing' Graham. Players are taught now to wrestle the ball carrier onto their back, by getting a lever (usually non-ball carrying arm) which gives leverage to turn the player onto his back. Alot of players would have ended up on their back in that situation, but Graham is too strong, kept solid on his front, but obviously the next thing to go was his shoulder.

Now, once Jamie Jones sees Graham's arm in the position it was, he should release the pressure immediatley. That was the classic chicken wing (a kimura for UFC fans) which basically will damange the tendons in the shoulder. Because of the continued pressure, I think JJB got pretty lucky with a one match ban, despite not intentionally going in to do damage.

P.S I love to hate Graham as much as anyone, but I damaged my rotator cuff in the first minute of a game this summer, and managed to play on without to much pain, only for it to be complete agony the next day and keep me out for 7 weeks. So I don't think Graham's faking this injury.

You'll no doubt notice Graham hasn't said a word about JJB, the tackle or Leeds in general.

He's left that to Kieron Purtill, Chris Flannery and the Saints propoganda machine

and quite rightly so...he should be too embarresed to show his face never mind speaking about it.

Just imagine how bad the Saints fans will be if they manage to win the Grand Final.
