| Quote Fallon="Fallon"It's a fair point.
I was watching the saints game last night and thinking, when was the last time they were facing relegation?
I know they haven't had the success we have had in recent years but they are always in the mix. They have gone through periods where the old guard retired/moved on and have seemed to hold their own.
Seems like a model that has eluded us. We seem to be a bit of a boom or bust club.'"
Hetherington has done great things for this club but hes really messed up over the last 4 years. If we stay up this year needs to be the last time this happens.. if we all take a step back and assess its quite staggering that we've got to this stage. Theyve taken the eye off the ball big time with recruitment

| Quote Him="Him"Hang on, I know things are poor at the moment but let’s not lose all sense of reality.
Sharky64’s post wasn’t a “fair point”. It was a rant.
Why hasn’t a statement of intent been released? A statement of intent with regard to what? Recruitment? Has any club ever released plans publicly as to who they are going to sign and who they are going to move on? No of course they haven’t. It’s utterly ridiculous to expect the club to make such an announcement.
As for sacking players or coaches. Well you only do that if you have better players coaches ready to take their place. Again, a ridiculous assertion to say we should immediately sack players.
As for the management, you may disagree with their decisions, you may think they’re not the right people for the job, but does anyone really question whether Hetherington and Sinfield are “bothered” about Leeds succeeding? Of course they are, it’s childish and simplistic to suggest otherwise.
As for Leeds being a boom and bust club, we haven’t been facing relegation since what 1996? I’d hardly describe that as boom and bust. What we are going through seems remarkably similar to what Wigan went through a few years back, 2005/6 ish when IIRC we beat them 70-0 and Saints beat them 75-0 in consecutive weeks and they were only 4 points off being relegated despite breaking the salary cap to stay up.'"
We've faced relegation 3 times in the last 5 years, the other years we won the GF

Expect much transfer speculation and exclusives broken over the weekend, it appears the #rugbyleague domino is about to fall as the 'business end' of the season comes into view and the scramble to avoid relegation intensifies

Hes replied to someone also saying he believes Leeds will be doing business spending the Watkins money

| Mick Gledhill is on the money with this one.
I’ve been told from a respected member of the Salford club, that they’ve reluctantly accepted a 275k fee from Leeds for Hastings. Expect an announcement Monday morning.

Hope so, anybidy who thinks he will not make a difference is deluded, all our 3 half main options are the worst in the league.
I hope Tui goes on a bender and refused to come back, that would be an easy decision to make, were is home sickness when you need it

He reckons Hastings has pushed for it, as he really wants the move.
Let’s see what comes next week, but he’s adamant it’s happening.

| £275k for a player with 5 months left on his contract after he's guided you to safety is excellent business by Salford, if true

If true it’s perfect for both clubs, we need the player they need the cash.

One side has cracked then because AFAIK Hastings wanted an NRL release clause which Wigan were happy to grant but we refused.

And I would have granted it aslong as its not a mid season clause.
If we do get him I’m coming around to Gotchas way of thinking that Tui will be the best partnership for him at least for the rest of the year, Myler is offering nothing at the moment

Unless of course it is a £275k deal for this season only and he’s either of back to the NRL in 2020 or signing for Wigan with an NRL clause?
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Maybe GH/KS have decided if £275k is the price to pay to try and make sure we avoid relegation then so be it?
I still think it cannot be just for this season, but with some of the decisions we’ve made recently who knows
