| Recognition that Peacock isn't the essential element in the Leeds forward pack that he once was?

| How many times in the past has Peacock missed whole games other than through injury? He's started games on the bench with the intention of reducing his playing time before, but I can't recall him being left out of too many, particularly this early in the season?

Quite the opposite. Keeping the essential element fresh for the tougher games and the business end of the season.

I'd say it's taking advantage of the depth within the squad to give JP a proper off-season thus allowing him to have a better impact during the season.
FWIW Bluey stated pre-season his plans are to rotate alot more this year injuries permitting.

Clever coaching from Bluey.
Just wish he'd have let us all know.........'"
Yes I have come to that view myself. I did think he had just an emotional ..motivation..style and will confess to being confused at times over the last 2 seasons but slowly it has dawned that there is much more to this guy than meets the eye.

Two Grand final victories might also suggest that he has something about him over & above simple motivational skills.

He is injured. I asked the question yesterday only to get feckw1t response. So thought I would find out for myself.
He has a calf injury, and may be out of Cas game also. Nothing to do with rests at this stage.

I would agree but the point I was trying to make is that over the past 2 season as a whole he has demonstrated this.... not just when winning the finals.

I don't know your source but in this piece by Bluey ( www.therhinos.co.uk/news/9635.php) he states at about 3mins 30secs that JP will feature in the squad against Cas.
He also explains all the thinking behind his non-selection for the Crusaders game which validates many of the sensible comments on here.

I don't really care mate. I too accepted the rest explanation. However, a couple of questions and I now know for a fact he is carrying a calf injury, and he may not make the Cas game yet, but hopefully will.

Don't know about whether his absences were due to injury but in terms of regular SL rounds
2006: 3 games missed out of 28 (rounds 6,18 & 2icon_cool.gif
2007: 2 games missed out of 27 (rounds 1 & 13)
2008: 3 games missed out of 27 (rounds 5,16 & 19)
2009: 1 game missed out of 27 (round 16)
