As he did, I note that you don't say that the wrong calls favoured one team or the other, in which case I will agree with your sentiment.
Leeds were pinged for forward passes that weren't but got away with others that were.
Overall Bradford shaded a tight penalty count 8-7.
A galling decision was to rule Matt Diskin a knock on for an incorrect play the ball when within a couple of minutes Bradford did likewise and he let it go.
It's instances like that so close together that frustrates the life out of me.
Furthermore Diskin was actually trying to play the ball in the correct manner, with the foot, when in the following set Bradford were allowed to roll the ball back and step over it. It's little wonder that England/GB haven't won a test series in 40 years when the players are not required to perform some basic skills of the game. |
