| Quote: G1 "The metres Burrow carved out of nothing were crucial on Friday. If he is to start on the bench I wouldn't leave him there for long. He HAS to be on the pitch in some position.
Wigan wouldn't pout Tomkins on the bench "foir impact" and after Tomkins Burrow is the most dangerous player in the league.'"
I'd tend to agree, I would have mags and burrow in halves and sinfield at 13 but don't think it will happen

| Reviewing the semi it just seemed we had a much more balance with Lunt at 9 and Burrow at 7. during the vital 1st quarter

not sure about that ...Burrow is dangerous but usually against tiring defences.

The pack is secondary only to the choice of kit.
If Leeds have to play in the pink kit again (like Wembley) they'll be little point turning up.

As a devout believer in the Rugby Gods, I believe they look unfavourably on such atrocities. Wire themselves, of course, benefitted from the shameful Leeds 2006 home kit for which the Gods took their vengeance on the club come play off time. If Warrington dare take to the biggest stage in that get up, it can only work in our favour.

On your analysis it explains why Giants went backwards this year, given the state of their away kit.

Either that or they'd exhausted themselves by masturbating all over it.

What's wrong with using the same kit colours as we saw at Headingley for the Round 6 encounter this season ?

Same applied for Wembley before Leeds' chances were nipped in the bud. The pink is an alternative kit and unless there is an obvious clash both teams should be able to wear their 'Home' colours, IMO.

Nothing wrong with those colours.
Enough white throughout the wire kit to not cause a clashing issue IMO.

| It will be interesting to see if we use the 'gang tackle' tactic once again. Warrington play a much less structured game than Wigan so for me the key is to prevent their offloads. It is possible that the gang tackle ploy can achieve this but if they still manage to offload we will then be very short of defenders.
Smith will have planned to target Sinfield and Burrow so it is essential that our forwards get us on the front foot to give these two some space to work in and also give Briers less space and time for his kicking.
Could be a classic

Think they have to. It was the manner of the gang tackling that worked so well against Wigan. It wasn't just flying in with numbers. They wrestled them down, pushed them back (will also need to clamp the ball to minimise threat of off-loads as you rightly point out) - giving Wigan a slow PTB and plenty of time for us to get back 10, then spring out as a line. Wires big pack will need slowing down. Win the arm wrestle - win the game.

He'll have to. Leeds played it well. Flew in and took their time to put them down. We stayed on the right side of border-line. Same again please.

| The forwards again did set the platform but Brian Mac didn't go full on fora repeat the gang tackle ploy. His tactic this time was not just to cover the Warrington off load game but attack them with one of our own too.
