I haven't seen what he said re the RFL but did he also say the Bradford players were expecting to be fed yet more 'B[iullshi[/it and lies' at yesterday's meeting - that in the end never took place anyway?

Bateman has been a prat with the things he's said, he's accused the RFL of being corrupt. If a player of any other club had done that this week, he'd be hauled up before the beak, so all I'm thinking is "will we see consistency in approach"?

He's behaved like a spoiled brat and should apologise for his actions. He hasn't even lost his job, how do you think those that have feel, and they haven't been tweeting about how corrupt the governing body is.

Perhaps the RFL understand that emotions are running high in the camp, and they will have a quiet word?
How many people on here said the RFL was corrupt when they bought Odsal? were they spoiled brats too?

Bateman's job is to be a rugby league player, and the last time i saw him, he was doing a great job of that! Good enough, even for the mighty rhinos to want him!

If we'd had more players with his energy, committment and spirit, we wouldnt be in the mess we are now!

All this kids ever done is want to play for the bulls. he's not the most academic lad, but he's not paid to be!

If we had a media relations officer, or a coach, perhaps one of them could have had a word, but we dont so they cant!

I seem to remeber Bailey saying something on Twitter not so long ago.
Didn`t he get a rollicking for saying it.
I know Baileys was deemed in bad taste whereas Bateman was just letting off steam.
If I were to put something on twitter or Facebook about my bosses being corupt I would probably be out of a job now.
Twitter will get someone hung before long.

Bateman is entitled to have an emotive reaction. He's entitled to have a stupid reaction. He's entitled to publish his emotive yet stupid reaction on twitter if he's daft enough to do so.

Bats has simply commented that it showed a lack of maturity on his part. Why is everyone getting so defensive and precious about Bats commnent? It's an accurate observation.

I don't feel sorry for Bateman. People lose there jobs all the time. Unlike many of his peers and may of the other back room staff at the Bulls he'll be OK because of his talents.

I had a word with him last night, I think he understood the error of his ways. Hopefully I'll have a properly constructed interview with him online next week.
