Don't bother.
Few of us went to Alea for a function, it all looked alright then. When we went back a week later to try the restaurant out, it was a big let-down.

| Quote podman="podman"for me its definatly Akbars then Aargra.
I would stay well away from sheesh some of the worst curry I have had has come from there. One of the Southstander watchers sent two dishes back in one night.
what do they call that place on eastgat above Sta travel. That was very different but very good.'"
Shababs?
We went to the one under the train station - as you say, a bit different to most.

Akbar's has been my favourite curry house for the last 8/9 years now - mainly the Bradford one, but the Leeds Eastgate one isn't bad. The Greek Street one charges a bit more and presents everything on white plates for more of a 'restaurant' feel. If you like a Balti I'd recommend any of the Kahari / Keema dishes in the Chef's specials section - chicken or lamb done in a fairly sry sauce with lots of green chillis etc. Awesome.
I've heard good things about Aagrah but never been. Always thought Sheesh and Amaan's were both too traditional, by way of decor and the fact that every dish seems to be a lurid shade of orange..

So you paid a premium of £12.40 for eating in a tourist trap. I fail to see your problem Phil.

Yes will have to sample one of those.. i always find Akbaars a little bit too spicey though.. the best curry i've had is a lamb passanda at the Aagrah in Garforth.. it's not a mild creamy passanda, it's got a nice kick to it, quite balti like.. i find it too inconsistent though in Garforth.. one week it's fantastic then the next week it's not as nice.
