Nor should it be, IMO. If the tackle is complete, the tacklers should stop dragging him. If he can be dragged, he can get rid of the ball for me.
There was no malice in the Moon challenge, but the rules are clear and they say red card.
I couldn't decide whether Soliola was committed. Probably could have pulled out, but tough one for the ref.

| Think you are getting mixed up with booing and mooning .
The game changer sending off apart was the ridiculous penalty given away by Briscoe

| A shoulder charge to the head is a red card. You can't have any complaints at all about that. Ref was spot on. Even your coach knew he was off as before he'd even got the card out he shot down to the bench to sort the team out.
Anyway, I think you played a lot better after that and you looked well up for it. We also had to then play a prop forward at centre which you only took real advantage of once for your try.
As for holding down etc, I thought we just managed the ruck to how the ref wanted it played. Silverwood doesn't like a quick ruck and we played to that.

No - It's on Vine and all the South Stand can quite clearly be seen to say "Boo" and not "Moon".

I've watched the video of this several times and being an armchair lip-reading expert, it is obvious that Hardaker quite clearly boos when Percival gets sent off, then shows his arris and calls him a f**king sausage jockey.

Having only seen the last 30mins of the game I thought it was a spirited performance from Leeds with 12 men - showed the sort of spirit and attitude which should, hopefully, set us up nicely for the playoffs.
As for not taking advantage of LMS playing centre...we were missing a centre ourselves

Fair assessment. Felt we ran out of gas a little in the closing stages but pleased with the application we showed. Thought Silverwood's control of the ruck was fairly poor throughout but even then I'm not sure that a quick ptb would have favoured a 12 man Leeds side with no Burrow.
In fairness to Silverwood, a fair bit of ball was lost by both sides which always results in a high number of 50/50 calls. This tends to compound the odd, genuine howler by the ref, regardless of who it is.

| Quote: GARFORTH LAD "I believe Mr Silverwood is a Leeds fan, that's good news!!! as I dread to think how many 50/50 calls we would have had tonight otherwise. Lets hope we have the pleasure of his company again in the play offs? or will he be dropped like players who have a poor game? At least he made the night for Phil Clarke and the rest of the impartial team on Sky, and also he will have cheered up Eamon McManus, as they will now likely have the Hub Cap to put in the empty trophy cabinet. Can't wait till we meet again in the play offs!!!

| People need to realise that making contact with the shoulder is not necessarily a shoulder charge. Every great tackle should make first contact with the shoulder. Last night's tackle was not a shoulder charge.
Moon made contact with the head of Percival which was a clear penalty (missed by Silverwood), and probably a red card though a fairly harsh one.

| I also cannot understand the classification of Moons challenge as a shoulder charge, it was nothing of the sort.
It was contact with the head, and a red card is effectively a subjective call based on whether you believe it was intentional or accidental. On that basis it does seem harsh to be a straight red and not yet another and much more frequently seen on report incident.
Silverwood was at least consistent in his PTB rulings last night; horribly slow, which has been a feature of his refereeing this season.
The difference in penalty counts in each half is an interesting observation, 13 penalties 1st half and 2 2nd half. Did Silverwood receive assessor instructions to referee differently after half time? It certainly worked against Leeds who would have welcomed opportunities to take the 2 second half.

Dorn must have done that 10 times at Wembley.
On every occasion he was told to get up and play the ball. instead of being penalised in possession.
