| Ask yourselves who offers the better chances of winning the game - Kirke or Smith? If the answer is Smith then we should play Senior in the pack to add some pace to allow Smith into centre. We cannot drop Donald.
I would also consider playing Ambler before Bailey.

Nah ! Not Bailey. Diskin. Come on guys...convince me he is the better option to Ambler.

| Leeds are being written off in a lot of quarters (me included to an extent) but when you look at that Leeds squad you remember why they have a great chance in any game they play, even without McGuire/Peacock.
Still think Wigan will win, but doubt it will be the walkover I was previously thinking about and wouldn't be too surprised to see Leeds win the game.
Looking forward to a good weekend of RL!

I don't know of any Wigan fans who think it will be a walkover.

I wouldn't agree.
If fit, of course he will play and start.
Need the tried and tested.
The experience of the big time is vital.
Ambler hasn't played in a long time for Leeds, can't see it happening tomorrow if TMFMISL is playing.
We will need every 17's A game.

| Quote Gotcha="Gotcha"I said Bailey is targetted, that is different to been constantly penalised. The slightest indiscretion from Bailey ends up in a penalty, for which in many cases other players would not get penalised for.
You already highlighted yourself above how you think this match might go. So think it through why it might be a problem.'"
The one that springs to mind is the last time we played Wigan at HQ when Ganson penalised Bailey for raising his knee in the kick return on Carmont (I think? Possibly Roberts not sure now) From where I was sat it never looked like he did but it seemed more like Ganson (or touch judge) assumed he did because of the way he bounced the tackler off. I think there was another incident in the same match where he got penalised for something which was a 50:50 decision.
Personally I'd risk playing him. He's one of our better forwards for getting us a quick play the ball if nothing else.
Unless we save him for the final that is

My thoughts are that with Sinfield set to play at 6 we do now need cover for Buderus and without McGuire we do not have the luxury of being able to move either Sinfield or Burrow to cover the hooker position as they are needed in space for kicking duties. Hence I would play Diskin.
Also as I said to get Smith on the field means moving Senior into the pack, therefore drop Kirke - hence my point that Smith will offer us better scoring chances than Kirke will?
I would play Ambler ahead of Bailey for the go forward as both are similar in defence and also we cannot afford Bailey to make errors or lose his cool in what will be a highly charged game.

On the whole TMFMISL secures the ball well and doesn't lose his cool in ref to giving penalties away. He will wind the opposition up as usual.
Please cue his Kansas City Shuffle.

Assuming he is fit I would agree that Bluey will pick Bailey and I take your point about experience. I said I would "consider" playing Ambler because we need to be on the front foot, but said it as a point for discussion

I don't think we need anyone to wind up Wigan, the atmosphere between the two sides since the last game and the McGuire episode will be electric and will have the ref looking to penalise and Sin Bin any of the usual suspects. We cannot afford to be down to 12 men for this one.
