| The more I see Ablett play the more I believe he is a vastly underrated player. The number of half breaks he makes is outstanding, defensively solid and is starting to do what Toopi did so well, disrupting the attacking line and preventing the pass/off-load. This can so easily make the difference between a set attacking pattern working or just another tackle.
Much of this kind of work goes unseen but make a massive difference in a game.

| Kirke was immense in defence last night. Throwing himself into every tackle and made some really important ones.
Ablett is in superb form at the moment, but Kirke is not far behind.

Agree and at 24yo he will continue to get better if he stays injury free.

Spot on about wages vs quality - a real 'salary cap player'.'"
Ayeee. Bailey tends to find his knees and elbows which allows him to get up but Kirke tends to be dominated and slowed right down.
As others have said though, reliable squad player. Does the job he is paid for.

With the greatest of respect and no offence intended, but Kirk and Ablett are miles and miles apart. There is no comparison.

Out of interest - Grand Final is next week, there's one bench spot remaining to compliment a pack of Kylie, Buderus, JP, Ablett, JJB, Sinfield plus Diskin, Bailey, Eastwood (we'll pretend Ali is injured)
Would you pick Kirke or Burgess?'"
agree would have had scroots but out of the two would pick burgess

Agreed. Ablett is showing some real classy touches.
Hopefully he can stay fit and continue to show good form, maybe in with a shout of a call up for the France game?

Had he played more games I'd say a shoe in.

Again, I agree. Looked like he picked up a knock and wasn't moving too freely throughout, as I said though some awesome touches in the times he's played this year. Just hope that's his injuries out of the way for a couple of years.

This post proves beyond doubt how confused some Leeds supporters are, confusing a sci-fi series with a sport.
Really odd!!

I think you have misunderstood my post, or maybe I didn't make it clear. I wasn't comparing the two, I meant that Ablett has found his form, and I believe that Kirke has found his.

Why are you talking to him, that dude thinks a fictional character played by William Statner is playing for Leeds.

Stop there and you would've had a good point. Kirke isn't in the best of form. He'll carry any ball up you want but a Kirke of old would've walked away with an extra couple of yards or a quick PTB. He got neither on Friday.
