Well, I would imagine either Hastings or Maloney,
but it also could be a left field Aussie half.

Fingers crossed, would love to see Hastings sign for us, he really seems to have taken to Super League and Id be gutted to see him go to Wigan, Id prefer him to stay at Salford than sign for them

Not what I heard. There was a cash+player offer made for Gale but it was bordering on insulting and immediately rejected by Cas.
Though I don’t really know why Leeds would chance a half who hasn’t played for two years and has suffered one of the worst injuries in terms of rehabilitation.

| Bit gutted for Watkins but totally see why it has happened. For me he never fulfilled the individual potential he had to become truly world-class. Huge pressure now on Newman who has a steep learning curve ahead.
I dont get the relentless slating of briscoe. Not what he was but far from our worst player.

Crosby Singleton & Both Briscoes should be gone from that list imo.

| Gale has never been good enough for Leeds. Nevermind after 2 bad injuries. Thankfully now we are releasing some serious cap space, we are now in the market for a proven high quality HB.

That's not true at all. There wasn't even a cash offer made to Cas.
Cas have a lot of loyalty to Gale and feel they owe him something, because of how good he has been for them. However, like Leeds, they also need to restructure their team, and Gale is a high earner on the cap.
Leeds approached Cas about Gale, and based on the above Cas out of loyalty put the approach to Gale, knowing he is a big a Leeds fan and always wanted to play for them. As far as I was told it was agreed with all party's but only on the condition that Cas actually managed to get their own replacement on their structure. Gale wasn't pushing to leave, and Cas were not pushing him out, and it was Leeds that would have to wait and see, but if all aligned the deal would happen.
I know Cas were after Fages, so who knows perhaps that has changed things. I don't know to be honest, but I still wouldn't be surprised to see Gale at Leeds.

For me Blake Austin which isn`t going to happen followed by Hastings which is a possibility.
Does this mean we still keep Lolohea?
And if so where would he play ? scrum half possibly.
