League express still believe it’s a done deal. Pete Smith thinks otherwise.

| Quote: Sir Kevin Sinfield "Releasing Parcell seems a strange rumour. Maybe he’s on a big wage and we need the cap space, we were quite desperate for a hooker when we signed him. If that cap space is to sign Martin Taupau then fair enough, although surely we would need to sign another hooker on the cheap to compete/rotate with Dwyer.'"
It’s almost as if somebody’s made it up for attention

| This is what off-seasons should be like - wild speculation fuelled by gossip being presented as facts. I've missed chaotic off seasons.
Just on the 1,6 7 roles, assuming Myler is 7 and Lolohea gets properly fit, it will all come down to which of Walker and McClelland take their chances and which combination worlks best. Lolohea was probably signed as the new 6, but things change, and Furner will have his own views. At least the signing of Hurrell has quieted the idea of playing Lolohea in the centres.

| Interestingly, when walker was stalling on signing a contract last year want that partly because the club saw him as a future halfback, and he saw himself as a fullback. Maybe he's being groomed for that role and may switch in there at points in a game or over the season

| Whether its Walker from full back or McClelland from 6 we'll need someone else to help out in the playmaking/game management side of things (and kicking probably). Its not a strength of Myler or Lolohea.

| On the YouTube videos of McClelland his agents (showmethemoney) list him as a halfback or hooker...so that may be another option at 9

Not if Furner is no longer coming he isn’t.
IMO we’ve no need for him even if Furner comes. Not for the reported money he’s after

I may just have been baited but this rumour is sticking around.
I just don't see why we would sign another Hb when we have already signed two and are in need of forwards.
Just don't see this happening.

| I can see the point of Drinkwater as we still need a game manager. His signing turned around the season for Catalan and together with Myler and with the play maker skills of McLelland as cover and we should make a bad full of chances for Lolohea, Hurrell and Watkins every game.
Lolohea has pace, great feet and a good oddload and is a really good addition but he is not a play maker and the lack of one has been our greatest problem since Sinfield left.
Lolohea also plays fullback where he could make the same impact on SL as Barba did for Saints and this would take the pressure off Walker who can still get some game time as he matures physically.

| I think that would be a good plan.
Having good cover for full back and half back next year would make a nice change.
Just hope we have another prop coming in if Garbutt leaves

| Lolohea speficially said in his interviews that he was coming to Leeds because his chances at halves were limited and was excited at the prospect of playing more in the halves. I just don’t get the signing of Drinkwater at all, if it happens
