They'll obviously be planning on how to fit him into their cap next season and some others might have to leave and they might also have to sell somebody to get the £160k, maybe Solomona to RU next season......what if they agree to that and at the eleventh hour the Hardaker deal goes all wonky. Also as pointed out, him together with Chase, can send Zak back but some damage could have already been done to the dressing room.

All outcomes remain possible. If McDermott stands down at the season's end - a scenario that'd surprise no-one - I suspect the slate could be wiped clean.

Sounds quite messy if true, wonder if getting no money for Solomona would effect Cas' ability to sign Hardaker permanently.

Very underhanded from Solomona if true, not sure if I was a cas fan I'd still want him at the club.

Can't see how could remain there anyway now even if somehow it can't happen legally. Completely shown a lack of respect to his teammates and coaches and it's depriving the club of potential crucial big money.

Just wonder if he ever handed in a formal transfer request. Whilst in their rights to turn it down if so, when a player doesn't want to be there and the potential for a big fee is on offer then probably should've let him go. If he didn't ask for a transfer request then it really is a c**t's trick to go about it that way.

As you guys know and still SOME Cas fans are yet to realise, no 1 player is bigger then the club.

Surely if Solomona "retires" from RL & then rediscovers his appetite for sport in the other code that is still breach of contract?
As many teams have found it's hard to enthuse & get the best from a player who wants away, even without considering the impact on the rest of the team.

His earning potential in RU will be many multiples of what can earn in RL - their career is short do the best by the lad.

Says a lot about the bloke's integrity. If the rumers are true, he's treated all the staff and fans at Cas with utter disdain.

Players are happy to bleat about loyalty etc when it suits them, and remarkably fast to bring out the short career mantra (or servitude in the case of Hardaker) when they are given long-term deals which they no longer want.
