This is desparately sad news, a real tragic end to a life. I remember seeing Terry training up at Trinity and All Saints when he was, I think, 16 years old with the rest of the first team. You could see then that he had all the attributes to make it to the very top of the game and he did just that.

Obviously a very emotional character, witnessed by the way he played the game with his heart on his sleeve, and one that will be missed.

Very very sad news.

Just got the news whilst browsing the Wigan Warriors forum. He was a fantastic player and that’s all I want to say.

Condolences to his family and friends.

A really sad bit of news, it's a real shame that the RFL and the rest of the Rugby League community wasn't able to do more to help a lad who had lost his career not long after the death of his sister.

I don't normally use words like shocked or stunned because I think they are over-used but when I heard the news I really was shocked by it. As has been said by others such a sad waste of a life.

Fortunately rugby league is pretty good at rallying round when something like this happens, but still, thoughts and condolences to Terry's family.

Its only a few weeks ago I was browsing his book in Waterstones.

Might go back and buy it now, hoping some of the profits will find their way back to his family ( Daughters).

I'm very shocked and upset at this news.

Such a waste. This type of tragedy puts everything in perspective.

Tragic news my thoughts go out to his poor wife, kids and parents. What a terrible waste of life from somebody who still had so much to offer the game of rugby league.
Please let him be remembered for the right reasons he was a fantastic player one of the very best.
