Let me be clear, I have no issues with Eastwood playing Saturday, in fact we need him. I hope he plays a blinder and plays much, much better than he did against Saints and Cas. If he plays like he did in the unopposed training session Catalan gave us I will be delighted. What has irritated me is his statement about putting his hand up to help the club. It's BS. He's putting his hand up to play in a big game because it suits him. I'd rather he be as frank as he was last year when he said he didn't really want to come but he'd signed up and was stuck with us.

I think the homesickness may be an issue but not as much as being tapped up.however the bulldogs have signed Pritchard so not sure where that leaves Eastwood.wouldn't shock me if he ended up staying and I hope he does(if his attitude is right).

Remember Saints tapping up Harris, him refusing GH's initial overtures and saying he wouldn't come to Leeds? Then Saints couldn't come up with the cash leaving Harris high and dray and at Headingley after all. Maybe Bulldogs have done the same to Eastwood.

That is the danger with clubs tapping up players. Get them all excited about a potential move then the club can't or won't follow through with it. I also expect Eastwood's agent has been playing silly beggars too.

FWIW I think if Eastwood wants to be taken seriously he should learn to either tell the whole story (came for the money and had a change of heart after deciding he liked living and playing in Sydney) or STFU.
