| ATM we start building pressure and start looking like we will dominate and then give away a silly penalty switching it onto the back foot. happened god knows how many times today.

Not in 2004 though.
The winners that year were Leeds Rhinos, (whoop whoop), now what do I win?
Quote finglas="leicester_rhino"THough Ali had a good game. Always looking to offload, but only gave ity when on. '"
A pity about the occasion it looked on around the 50th minute, straight to the Castleford player in the Leeds half.
Four minutes later failing to find touch from a relieving penalty award.
Just how much defensive practice did Leeds want to do tonight?
Thank gawd the discipline improved after half time.

From a Leeds POV the rugby, ball in hand, was garbage.

| The majority of the Leeds team are thick. Constantly doing stupid things, i wish the coach would drill some common sense into them and get them to understand how to play to the conditions and ref, stupid errors, plays and penalties given away.

They have taken on the persona of their coach and play far too emotionally.
Nest thing he'll be getting Matt Adamson to give the pre match pep talk and fir them up.

| Leeds were pretty good in the first fifteen.
Error and penalty free (which is a rarity for them this season) then Hall knocked on for Jones to score Cas' first and shambolic Leeds returned to give us an exciting contest with an unexpected finish.

Its difficult to play (or expect) Champagne rugby in a monsoon - you get a different kind of game where mistakes will be made and scores will almost certainly be close hence an exciting spectacle and a passionate crowd*.
I'd certainly take that over a try fest exhibition match.
*In a brother and sister kind of way

| lucky, lucky Leeds.
Based on the last play of the game we didn't deserve to even draw. See if you have the saem coaches handbook as we have:
It's 22 all, you break with 20 seconds left and get to the opponents 20 metre line with 3-4 tackles left. Do you:
a: Move the ball from dummy half towards the middle of the pitch and drive toward the sticks while the defence is trying to set then organise for a simple 1 pointer from right infront to win the game.
b: Move the ball from dummy half to the left wing to set up a 1 on 4, then run around in circles with the ball losing ground before putting in an aimless kick towards the opponents try line which is covered and with no chasers, hoping that the fullback will lose the ball and another one of the half dozen defenders there will pick it up from an offside position. Then kick the winning penalty.
Based on the performance and demenour of our club captain I'm starting to actually think he is going to Warrington at the end of the year - if not before.

A very valid point - that I noted at the time but has since been lost with the drama of the win.
Who was he dummy half?
McgUire did the right thing in taking it back to the centre and did well to get there - his brain fart was the aimless chip.
