So I think... meh!'"
That was a few years ago though.....there’s a reason he’s been playing at Bradford.
Would have thought we had youngsters who could provide cover that would be better prospects than what Evans is now?
Also,if the club don’t think we have adequate cover from our youngsters, what about looking in the RU market that would also have the cap exemptions. Hull FC found a good one last year...there must be others out there?

I suppose the thinking is he is tried and tested so will be able to slot in as and when needed, we are really short on the wings so I’m guessing that is where he would get most game time, as I say it’s all a bit meh! I would have preferred Jai Field but that would have taken an OS spot up.

When he first emerged he was seen as a real prospect. There had been talk about him in our youth system for a while (and we don't get much talent to get excited about in Warrington) and when he broke into the team he looked like he would justify the hype: strong, fast, a real handful. He was a fringe player for a couple of years then scored 20 tries in his first season as a starter. Then he got some injuries and was not the same player. In the final TS season when things were going badly wrong, he copped a lot of stick from the fans and looked lost for confidence.
I was never sure whether he was a superstar prospect whose abilities were compromised by injuries, or whether he looked better than he really was because he emerged in a side that was a dominant attacking force in the peak TS era at Wire.

| I see it’s a loan not a proper signing, wonder if there’s a bit of us helping the Bulls out with this one? Gets him off their salary cap and they get some youngsters from us which benefits both clubs.

| We are sending Waite-Pullan, Holroyd, Walters and potentially Mustapha (dependent on bringing another forward in) to the bulls on loan.

| Think this is a good move by Leeds he's only on loan if he's poor we don't have to sign him he's just here for cover whilst are first choice winger T.Briscoe is out and also allows young up and coming players to get valuable first team rugby at Bradford good work by sinfield to get this deal imo, it's better than throwing a young back who won't be anywhere near ready physically to play super league whist Briscoe is out also allows out young backs in academy more time to develop .

Hopefully not if we are using a quota spot I would like it to be on a quality starting line up player. Rather than wasting it on an outside back who covers a few positions .
Not a great player but as I said would much prefer signing Evans if the quality isn’t available than panicking buying. Might just be a crap signing but I am being optimistic and hopefully it shows patience from us waiting for the right player

| Firstly for both Rhys Evan's sake and ours, I hope he is a success.
Now for the large dose of reality. He was hopeless at Warrington and always a fringe player. Don't know how he's done at Bradford, but if it's good then it's because he's found his true level... Championship rugby league.
Again, nothing against the lad - just don't rate him at all.

I think it’s more a big overseas forward has come available worth more than a overseas utility back

Fairly easy if your dad was born in PNG, but applying for and getting a passport takes time.
