The club should not have made the announcement they did, it was wrong. That was not Ashton Golding problem, or indeed Jack Walkers. All the announcement did is put extra pressure on him now, and could have created a rift with the players, at the same time as question the attitude wrongly of another. Then at that same time they then play the lad out of position, and of course people jump on it. Fans are fickle, that's what happens. Haven't seen game to judge, but think the lad has done enough to warrant a couple of downers not to write him off.

Well for a young lad to have Senior's song doctored to his name says to me the fans are well and truly on his side

I don't get all this about Walker and Golding. Golding looked a really good player until he got injured and now because we have seen Walker what 6-7 times, everyone is now saying Golding should do this and that or is rubbish. If Golding wouldn't have got injured most wouldn't know about Walker and would be more than happy with Golding.

I don't want Walker to leave but we can easily live without him. Until 10 weeks ago he wasn't even considered a first team player. Good luck to him, am well over it, now time to get behind our future FB who will give anything for this club.

Exactly one of the reasons why I criticise people for rumour spreading because you aren't helping the club or situation, only yourselves. That must be more important to you though.

So you accept the club are unprofessional? I mean come on, it would be hypocritical to complain about someone anonymous on an internet message board for saying something, but not the club for making public statements across a wider media.

I only corrected what others were wrongly saying. That's a big difference. I think the clubs position was aimed more at an agent than a player, but didn't think it through on the outcome of players.

Hang on a minute here, come off the high horse and explain. Let's go back a step. The club put an announcement out on Wednesday yes? This was after final negotiations, in their view, with a player. The same announcement about previous discussions of two months ago.

On here over weeks before that announcement, it was stated that his agent is touting him around, after an initial derisory offer from the club, and as a result had four other offers that could not be made personally to the player until August, but had to be through his agent. With that came discussion of skills development.

What in those so called "rumours" would warrant any professional club to make an announcement? Especially considering as you well know, the announcement wasn't about that, it was about the final offer they have made and so called demands at that which not only effect the player "allegedly" asking, but another none related player.

Nothing was said on that final meeting on this board or any other message board, until the club made their announcement.

Come on, pretty poor form to declare the club was forced to do something because the fact their original mistake was put out there, made them do something else. I don't think for one minute you really believe that. This thread was about Golding and the issue with fickle fans having a go. The point is still clear, the club highlighted that by the way it handled its business. Do you really believe people would be having a go about Golding had the club just kept its business in house? Please remember this board is a minority of Rhinos supporters out there, a lot at games don't even know of its existence.

All we need now is the next poster who set up a thread last year calling for Golding never to play in a shirt again coming in as usual.

Golding returning a kick this season has almost always led to negative yards after contact. I'd rather bin off Briscoe and see if Golding can earn a place on the wing.... and keep Jack Walker at FB.

I have to disagree with you here. He makes fast yards in return, just like Walker also. Where he lets himself down is that he then tends to then run sideways, which is where he then loses out in the contact.

Yes this board is only a certain amount of Leefs fans, but what do you think those people do when they read your rumours? They tell friends or mention it on FB or Twitter for hundreds of others to see and it spread......that's how rumours work!

Leeds could keep it in house if Walker and his agent could, they clearly didn't and you're a prime example of that.

You're taking a 17 year olds version of events as gospel, and I'm not saying he's lying but obviously his version of how events unfolded are going to be weighted in his favour and against the club,

Let me say this, at your work if you were in a key meeting and you didn't see eye to eye or disagreed with the other person, if you both came out and told your side of the story do you honestly believe their wouldn't be a significant variation between the two stories with the reality laying somewhere in the middle?

Achieving by pointing out the player may well leave because of the initial offer he received, and his agent pushing him to listen to other offers. You know, exactly what happened.

This is a message board for discussion amongst fans. If all you want to do is here about club announcements, then that is easily done by just looking at the clubs webpage. But not everything will be posted on there. On here people discuss things that will and won't be on there. I just can't see why someone would be on here if going to take an offence to it. You add your own views to many posts, so why take offence to others?

And the player would've still have left regardless of your rumours, so all you did was force Leeds to tell their side of the story and now you're slamming them?

I don't mind if someone tells rumours and doesn't give a dann about the consequences, but you turning around and crying foul about Leeds' response is hypocritical.

What do you think would happen if you're out there spreading stories that portray them in a bad light?

You as a chief rumour spreader is as much to blame for how things have panned out? How can you not see that? You keep your mouth shut and this could've stayed in house at the club,.

But being in the know was more important to you so don't cry foul about the response.
