Now that's just silly, 2 of them can't play rugby!
Swap in Graham at 8 and O'Loughlin at 13, much better.

FWIW I wouldn't have picked Chase, Sinfield, T Burgess and Mossop for the squad but gone with Brough, Smith, Carvell and Crabtree, but from the current squad I think that's the best we can do.

I would pick Westwood every time over Ferres. A far superior player in every way.

Apart from in the last two games where both have played.
Westwood is a cracking player with a great reputation but in the world cup, as MHL has said, there's no doubt who has shown the better form.
As for the Bulls fan who would select Mcillorum over Roby I wonder if he or she has been watching any of England's games. Roby has been immense. If he were wearing green and gold people would be saying Cameron Smith is the 2nd best hooker in world rugby.

| FWIW I'd go with Ferres over Westwood and put Farrell in the 13 aswell with BW on the bench.

I agree re Ferres who's been a revelation & arguably England's man of the series so far.
However, in my humble opinion the best hooker in the world currently is Isaac Luke.
Now that he's sorted out his previous sh*thouse tactics with improved levels of fitness - Maguire(?) has turned him into a brilliant 80 minutes a game player - he's the best there is.

| Roby isn't even the second best hooker in Lancashire let alone the world.

| IMO the most disappointing aspect of the selections so far is the bench. No real impact has been provided by forwards or Widdop.
For me, it's criminal burrow is not on the bench. Absolutely criminal. He has never been given a crack at International level. Seem to remember him been on tour is Oz a few years back without getting a run. The international game cries out for his pace and break making ability.
It's so frustrating watching the same team banged out each week.

| Unsure on 4th prop. Tom burgess has poor ball retention which may cost us. Mossop was largely anonymous against Aus.
Socio is not working as sub for me either. Start him and have burrow maybe on the bench.
Only other query I have is who is benched and dropped when sam Burgess, Westwood, ferres, ablett and oloughlin are all available. Nice problem to have

Well, yes, except Crabtree isn't in the squad. He must be sat in the commentary box wondering how Mossop and Tom Burgess got picked ahead of him.
In reality I'd go with your team except Ablett for Crabtree as utility on the bench, and Sam Burgess moving more central to prop when Westwood comes on. It's sad that McNamara seems to have picked a squad where there are only three props that can be trusted at this level. A more persuasive coach might have tempted JP to have one last dig.

| JP agreed to come out of retirement but McNamara refused to let him miss the South Africa camp so that he could go on a holiday that had originally been booked as a last family holiday with his ill father. Obviously his father died but they still wanted to go in his honour but McNamara said no.
