| Ticketing arrangements are exactly the same as for every other Giants Home game and really not that difficult to understand. If believe there may be a problem and are anticipating such, why would you still go and sit anywhere without thinking about it?
To put in context, there are approximately 2,300 seats half of the lower tier in question. I don't know exact numbers but no more than 800-900 will be "Giants Reserved" and only about 2,100 tickets issued. So the issue is something of the order of fitting 1,200 people into 1,400 seats. It is surely only a problem if you are determined to make it one.
It is not within Huddersfield Giants gift to put anything on Leeds Rhinos website.

then i guess they will be happy with the disturbance that might result due to casual fans only going cos its £8, had 6 pints and refuse to give up their 'good' seats as 'their' ticket says unreserved
Hudds RL should make it clear to traveling fans beforehand and certainly on the day itself

| I'm not saying this to get a reaction off you, but it really shows how small time your club still is when you think everything you said above is acceptable.
As far as every league game being unreserved, this isn't a league game and you don't often get 1000 or so away fans sat with you lot because they have sold out the away end and need more room. At £8 a ticket, surely higher management would have realised tickets would sell well. Allocating tickets for the main stand would have given season ticket holders a chance to but "their" seat and would have saved any confusion on the day.
As for you saying the Giants have no responsibility to inform away fans. What planet do you live on? Leeds inform away fans (and home fans) if theres a big game about any restrictions and so do all the other top clubs if they know there will be a big attendance where issues may occur.
Like I said, it's not about using your head when it comes to the "reserved" seats as this isn't a league game. That's why the big clubs give their members a chance to buy their seat before everyone else. If they don't take it up then they lose it. What's to say every season ticket holder turns up tomorrow? If the stand has sold out and there are more tickets sold than seats available then what happens? You may get people looking for a seat when the only seats left say reserved because that season ticket holder has decided not to buy a ticket.
It all just seems silly and small time to me.

| oooh thats going to be fun especially if its very close to selling out and the usual pattern of "lets not go onto the stand until the very last minute" happens and you end up with groups of people with beer inside them trying to sit together only to find that they have a rubbish view or their mates have to sit fifty yards away
Its like the budget airlines unallocated seating on a full flight - there's always some who b1tch and whine because they can't sit together.
Lets be honest, its unallocated seating because its too much bother to try and control it any other way.

| By the way, its unallocated seating in my living room, but get there early because the dog likes to spread out a bit on the settee.

| If tickets were sold for allocated seating Leeds fans would've got tickets for blocks 1 and 2 which coincidently is where we are asking you to sit in as blocks 3, 4 and 5 have reserved stickers on the seats not rocket science.
The stewards will be briefed that, despite it being unreserved tickets for all, they will need to direct Leeds fans away from the middle blocks to the wings towards the south end and advise people to not occupy any "Giants Reserved" stickered seats as in normal league fixtures. Giants fans are always told to bring their season tickets with them if they want to have their usual seat, it's easier to do it this way than sell them an actual ticketed seat when selling alongside unreserved seating as in league games.

But as the ticket says "unreserved" they can't actually make you move. Do you see what I have been saying previous about it being silly?
I am going with 2 guys in their 70s and will be getting in the ground at least an hour before kick off. I won't sit in "reserved" seats but I have no intention of sitting in blocks 1 or 2 because with their age, we want to be as central as possible.

| You may think it's silly but it works at both town and Giants matches. You may find it difficult finding an unstickered seat as central as you require though as the area you're in has the most stickered seats I'm afraid.

| At regular Town and Giants games do you have 1000 away fans sat with you though? Ill get as central as possible. There'll be 3 seats somewhere.

I don't think it's silly - I know it is.
It might well work at Town and Giants LEAGUE matches, but as Harrigan has already said - at those games there won't be 1,000+ away fans sitting in that stand, all with 'unreserved' tickets. It really wouldn't have been difficult to allocate the two blocks nearest the 'away' end to Leeds, therefore removing any potential issue.
If there is any Giants season ticket holders in those blocks (and I can't imagine there's many) surely a simple announcement on the club website informing them that their regular seats are available to buy if they want them, with a deadline, if they don't take it up - those seats are sold too.
It won't affect me because I'm there in good time and not too fussed about sitting that close to half way - but I find it difficult to envisage that no problems will arise because of this - especially once the latecomers from the pub roll in.
