I think it'd be a great, if potentially painful, learning curve for the SL sides, and English players, so I'd love it to happen for that reason. However, I think there may be limited commercial interest in it. If it doesn't make enough money to make up for the reduced SL fixture list that would be necessitated then it won't happen. And it therefore won't happen.

Anyone intent on ushering in the final death knell of the few remaining scraps of international RL would be well advised to support an expanded WCC competition.

I dunno, if you were going to shorten the domestic season (and as above, this isn't happening, so we're on a flight of fancy anyway) you could have all the SL clubs go to Aus for the first two games, and all the Aus clubs come here for the next two and tag on a test match after each leg. It'd certainly be better than a few years ago when we had that ill-fated one-off match down under and decided to add issues of time difference, travel weariness and acclimiatisation to the troubles of an already horribly over-matched GB side.

It doesn´t have to Interupt things that badly, if you stagger the games over the whole year.

I think crowds would be poorer than many would anticipate if games were excluded from the season ticket package. And if they weren't, the cost of a season ticket would almost inevitably rise which might in turn reduce attendances.

How many times a year will teams want to travel to the other side of the world?

In the end, if it requires 4 or 6 weeks for the competition, it will interrupt to the same degree whether you spread those weeks out or keep them in a block.

Well yeah thats he only problem, its not like the Hieneken cup where the other teams are a drive or a 2 hour flight away.

in the WCC the teams are a 30 hour flight away or however long it takes.

I´m just saying it probably would be better doing it in stages rather than one block of games
