| In my opinion Senior is still a better option than either (or both) of the first choice centres at at least 8 of the current clubs.
What that says about Super League is up to you to decide.

| Dont forget we were willing to keep paying him - albeit pay as you play. If the SL Champs are willing to have him in the fold is it that big a surprise some of the rest are interested?
For a lower level SL club a fit Senior would represent a good marketing tool and a bit of quality compared to what they prob have.
When you talk about an old man taking a youngsters place I suspect your talking about players like Hardaker and Watkins. Many lower level clubs dont have this quality of youngster at their club.
Senior can still do a job for some.

| is he being sought after as a centre or a second row? the fact he can play both still to a high standard will appeal to some clubs

I would say he's unproven in one role, and whether he's he's still quality depends on what your definition of quality is

| Some on here have very short memories indeed, Senior has given great service to our club and until injury was first choice centre. Apparently he has still not recovered from injury and not in full training yet, so talk of who he might play for is very premature.
My opinion, he may still have a little to give and would be a first rate back up/squad member still. Hardaker and Watkins have plenty of potential, but are we getting a little carried away with the expectations to quickly, because at this stage of their development thats all it is potential/possibility.

Some have very jaundiced view - Senior was very poor - albeit in a poor side at the time. His best days were several years behind him. The injury he suffered is amongst the most serious for any player never mind a player at 35?
The point is, we should as a sport be able to develop younger players of the appropriate quality so that we no longer require very aged players. We will never challenge the Aussies if we are unable to develop an appropriate player pool.
Finally not sure I would want a player in my squad who is solely focused on achieving his own goal of 600 games.

| do people really think clubs are looking to sign senior as a 2nd row? he is a and that is where clubs looking to sign him will play him. leeds did the right thing to let him go because he was upsetting the applecart too he was quite disruptive towards the end.

| while agreeing with a lot thats being quoted, Senior was playing below his own performance level, he was made one of the scapegoats for a lot of poor team performances.
I to think it is exciting to think about the possibility of our young backline but I just think we do not have much back up strength in the centre should the very exciting Watkins fall to injury again. Yes we could return to Ablett or perhaps Smithy but is not a road I'm sure the coaches are even thinking off. Just think that Senior would be useful because at his worst he was probaly as good as most centres in super league and I'm sure wouldn't cost the earth while still allowing our youngsters to develop.

In this decorated players case I think it's great that he has that target. He wants to give himself and his body a goal. nothing at all wrong with that.
Senior on the field has never had a problem suplying his team mates, he's also there for the dust up etc, so I don't see why this would change now.
