It is quite categorically not just what's left of the Blairites who want rid of Corbyn,. His own deputy has basically told him to resign, and that's Tom Watson, the man who knifed Blair back in 2006. What's left now supporting him, bar McDonald who actually does look like he belongs there, is what was the fringe of the party, people who they formerly didn't trust to run a church jumble sale. I'm disappointed with this, but the Labour Party that I used to support is dead and gone. They will be wiped from the commons in England like they have been in Scotland if they carry on like this. I thought Corbyn might have something to say, that he really would lead from the left, but he's just not able to get any kind of message across to a wider audience than his own relatively few believers, and that's critical in the age we live in. I am open to what he has to say but I just haven't heard anything from him, he doesn't seem to want to talk to us. There are a lot of "protest" politicians who spend years on the outside complaining about what decisions are being made. When they then are put in a position to have to make decisions, compromise, develop actual relationships that are required to get things done and communicate they are not up to the job. I fear Corbyn is one of those, he has to speak to the country not just to the people that already agree with him.
It's not that he's done that much wrong, it's just that he hasn't done much at all.

They were last time I was in one. Tell me when did Colleges cease to be part of higher education? Care to tell me what your job is then?
Quote: tigertot " As even a fool knows this was always more of a Tory leadership campaign. Anyone with any insight also knew the Blairites were lining up to knife Corbyn. Which is why you must have missed it.'"
So you cannot provide evidence that you (and Steve Wonder) knew both the major political parties would be thrown into leadership contest with days of the result.
Quote: tigertot " So you have no idea how long the disaster is going to last. Despite you knowing nirvana is on its way.'"
I have already provide you with the answer to this question

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

| Quote: Andy Gilder ""What is happening is only a disaster for those Remainers who are sore losers"
And any UK business which buys from overseas and finds costs have increased by 10-15% overnight due to the exchange rate
And anyone who has a pension scheme or annuity linked to the value of the stock market.
And anyone with savings, who is going to lose out due to the imminent and inevitable fall in interest rates
And anyone who voted Leave on the basis of ending the free movement of labour across the UK's borders, which Boris has now backtracked on. Or on the NHS getting an extra £350m a week of investment, which again has been backtracked on.
But apart from that, it's all tickety-boo. There might even be fewer brown people around, which is bound to make some people happy.'"
As I said to Gotcha any business that relies on purchases in foreign currency should have hedged - its not difficult. If you are an exporter great I bet the Whisky producers are rubbing their hands.
Anyone with a pension scheme is at the mercy of a group of gamblers - much better to look after your own investments then you are not at the mercy of these greedy bankers.
How can interest rates fall any lower - BoE rate is half of 1% - come on Andy you are better than that.
They never said the whole £350m would go into the health service just it would get a sizeable chunk of the surplus we would get from not paying in to the EU.
What Boris said was we will be able to move across Europe whilst we will restrict immigration into the UK - bonkers but that is what he said not what you said he said.

| If you Google (other search engines are available) 350 million it will take all of about two seconds to find Boris Johnson stood in front of lecturn with a poster: "Let's give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week" as a backdrop.
Difficult to argue (IMO) that pledge wasn't made by the official leave campaign.

| Quote: bren2k "It's very easy to make a judgement on at least two things that will happen in reality - or won't happen, to be more precise; there'll be no 350 million quid a week for the NHS, and the free movement of labour won't stop. The two central planks of the Leave campaign - which is also, by happy coincidence, a convenient way to describe Messrs Johnson and Farage.
I would expect that there'll be a huge chunk of Leave voters, who were persuaded by those very promises, who will have a serious case of buyers remorse in the coming weeks and months.'"
It maybe easy for you to make a judgement but the reality is that the detail of the package depends on the results of the negotiation and the shape of the economy in 2+ years time. I do not think the public believe any of the politicians promises and I think they made their decisions on one or more of the three main issues. 1. Sovereignty, democracy and full control of our affairs, 2 The economy, 3 Control of immigration and not the exact amount the NHS may gain
Also there is a big difference between the freedom of movement to move then seek work in another country and the freedom to apply for a job and then only move if you get the job..

The dawning realisation that Article 50 will not be invoked because to leave means continued free movement and a continued open border with the EU anyway
Things are begining to deflate ...starting with the footie tonight

The England players doing their best to take a lot of the spotlight off the politicians.
Whoever said leaving the EU was the most baffling decision made obviously hasn't seen Harry Kane being chosen for free kick duty.

| I'm still completely baffled by what exactly that is on top of Wayne Rooney's head. If it's real hair then Joe Hart is a real goalkeeper.

| At least the England soccer team invoked their own version of Article 50.

| All that money in the PL yet how many of the real top players in the world actually play in it?
The results in the Champions league show how poor the standards are - lots of average players getting paid monster money and English players still can't get a game.
What do we really expect from our national side - it is full of average at best players with poor technique and no heart/desire - shambles

| they have heart/desire, that's plain to see.
what they don't have is tactical acumen as it's not needed in our game and we don't have a really top class coach. the last 3/4 England managers/coaches have been terrible choices. the list to take over is worse still

agreed, Southgate the bookies favorite
TBH it is slim pickings. For me, going back to a true technical maverick in Glenn Hoddle would be the right choice but the FA haven't got the balls to back track, they need a yes man that fits their rigid way of thinking so we will go on failing at tournaments playing turgid football like last night.

That's similar to what I said in reply to Billy Eve at the weekend. I've not voted Labour in a general election since 1992. I can't see that changing.
