| Lee Smith is a Harry Sunderland award winning Grand Final winning full back. We should pick him.

At least is he's the last line of defence, it will take their players so long to run around him it will give the rest of the England players time to get back and make a tackle.

| Watkins might not have been at his electrifying best, but he wasn't as e as sarginson, can that bloke even pass left??? As for lomax, England have a fb problem, I didn't think he was the answer, he maybe still isn't, but he was alright at the weekend, didn't do anything to warrant loosing his spot

| No point in isolating individual players in a game lost by such a small margin. The team needs to work better as a unit, to play better than the sum of its parts. Micro-managing at the level of individuals isn't going to provide the necessary change, especially given the quality of the talent sitting on the sidelines. This is the real test of Bennett's coaching qualities IMO.

| I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett makes a few changes vs Scotland. We've seen in previous series the problems caused by sticking with a team and hoping for the best. In such a short series you don't want to be bringing players in for the last game who haven't yet played (especially vs Aus).
I said before this series started that I think Bennett will be mainly using it to see who steps up and who doesn't. We may not see the full flow on from that until next year. I don't think Bennett necessarily thinks we can beat Aus/NZ at full strength and in form, but he'll want to put out a side which plays to its best in the big games.

| For me Ratchford comes in at FB Bateman to Left Centre Farrell into the BR and Williams replaces Widdop.

| Percival for Sarginson.
Maybe Williams for Gale.
That's it.

| No wholesale changes for me. We presumably employed Bennett to improve our mentality, approach and execution. He's clearly not had sufficient time to do this but with an easier fixture against the Scots and the best part of a fortnight before we face Australia I'd be very interested to see what is delivered by us in the second of those games once he's had bit more time to hone things. The picture will be a lot clearer if the waters aren't muddied by swapping players for others who, on paper, would not appear to offer a huge amount more. You'd have to hope that Bennett doesn't at this stage feel a whole new radical approach is called for.

Just need a couple of changes and we will have a good chance against the aussies
Bring Clark on for a stint after 30 mins
Taylor in for one of the 3 bench props
Percival in for Sarginson
I would also switch Bateman to the right so he can help shut down the Aussie left side attack of Thurstan GI and Boyd (Im sure Watkins will get blamed if they score down that side anyway)
I think people are being a little unfair on Lomax who was good apart from that issued tackle.

Those are pretty much the only options that might improve the team.
If we can kick better and be just a touch more organised then we still could give Australia a real test. I think we also need a ref who actually polices the PTB.

That'll have to be an Australian ref then, because ours are terrible at it.

| When I got to the ground I thought I had been transported back to 1985 & Shaun Edwards playing centre vs NZ, or it could have been discovering Magic Rock brewery on the way to the game. But no, it was an ugly shaven-headed Wiganer with a stupid run-kick style & shimmy that fooled no-one playing no.4.

Funny thing is, at the 2014 4 nations Sarginson was really clinical and was a big part of why Hall was so good in that tournament. 2 more years being coached by Wane and his skill level has plummeted

| That 2014 form is why Sargison is in there - in that series he was one of those that played above themselves and certainly didn't look overawed. As an aside I doubt Bennett would move Whitehaed from the right because that's where he plays for the Raiders.
