| Let's hope we didn't bring Burrow back too soon as he took another knock on that shoulder.

Rob said on Twitter that it was nothing serious and he should be good for Friday.

| Ablett & Delaney had stand out games today. Clarkson still needs to step-up his game. Peacock should have been rested in my opinion.

"Leeds is the greatest club in Rugby League"
Alex Murphy 2011: |

| I don't think the score truly reflected the game, London were bad but we were awful for the 1st 20 minutes and the score only blew out towards the end. Smith looked absolutely nackered in the first half, does he have a different conditioner to everyone else ? It was nice to see us score some quality tries after looking clueless in our last 3 games and it's some reward for the fans who witnessed those displays. Singleton looked OK but I think he could do with a few more kilos on to cause some real damage. Ablett had a stormer and was my MOM by a mile. It was nice to be entertained but against better opposition you can't give them the ball and territory for the first 20 minutes like we did today.

| Ablett is a better centre than second row. Hall is world class and Burrows scoots from dummy half are helpful. Summary for me.

| Quote: The Magic Rat "I thought our defence was very good for the most part. London may not be the best opposition but our poor ball control ensured we had plenty of defending to do in our own 20 and we looked solid.
Singleton looked a willing runner and it would good to see him get another chance. Peacock played a long spell and that may have been due to Griffin getting injured early on but it would have been nice if Singleton had played a longer spell. [sizeI thought Smith did ok considering he was playing out of position[/size, especially in the 2nd half. Ablett was excellent and there cannot be many sides who have a better 3rd choice/backup centre.'"
Was he though ? Think somebody on here once rather presciently suggested his ultimate best position would be half back

| I think Lee Smith only needs to start a Leeds 1st grade game at stand-off now to complete his 1-7 set.

| Were Ward and Hood not fit for this one ? It beggars belief yet again that Kirke still manages to get a spot in the 17 (and Peacock should def have been given a day off).
Glad to see Singleton get his long overdue chance....just Chisholm now

| Thought Burrow and Ablett in the first half were the pick of the backs.
Smith was poor in the first half but picked up in the second although not convincing. He seems to have lost his confidence and every time he messed up his head dropped.
Maybe a run at scrum half might help him.
Delaney had a good game and McShane looked good when he came on.
Sinfield made two or three poor decisions and is too slow for SO.
Even Kirke was running it in from the kick off!!
Any news on Griffin who came off after 10 minutes.
Ablett MOM by a mile and Webb for me had his best game.
All the backs played well and they took their tries well.

He may have played half before but I cannot remember seeing him their before. He did ok. As someone pointed out he had a hand in a couple of tries in the 1st half also.
Kirke played ok today imo. He gets critisism on here every week. Sometimes it is deserved but at times it is unjustified.

He really (hopefully) could become the new Neil Hague

Maybe so....but was he a better selection than Stevie Ward for example who today could have played LF (with Bailey in reserve on the bench) ?
Others can speak for themselves, but the puzzling thing (to me) is why does he continue to be selected, despite poor or indifferent performances, which is the usual expectation and result ?
If the club was genuinely short of options then it would be more understandable. However we have seen the departure of Lauititi and Amor (temporalily ?) to Wakefield and now Pitts to Hull....all of whom are surely better options. Additionally, look how long Singleton has had to wait to get a spot in the squad owing to Kirke still 'commanding' a place.
Is Kirke a better option than D.Smith ? Ambler ? .....and as already stated in today's match, Stevie Ward ? It continues to defy rational explanation IMHO.
