| Quote: Judder Man "Were you actually at the match, Gilmour roughed Smith up a bit and Smith wanted to fight over it. so Gilmour obliged.
Also Wilkin was face down on the ground and cheap shot Bailey comes down with shoulder and elbow on the back of his neck.
Thats the problem with Leeds when the going gets tough they try rough house tactics and then there game plan dissapears.
What I would like to see from Bailey is to see him come in as the first tackler and flatten somebody below neck level.
Baileys favourite technique is coming in as 3rd tackler when the other 2 have held up the player, a bit like Graham showed on Bailey late in the game.'" no, couldn't make it over in time. so watched it on the tv, so probably got a lot better look then you. try watching a replay, you'll see gilmour all over him, smith trys to push him out the way too play the ball, gilmour then swing 5/6 unnecessary punches. if smith wanted to fight, why did he throw no punches??
again go watch a reply, wilkin is laying on his back. bailey drops the shoulder into wilkings chest/shoulder.
indeed, after the going got rough, it was leeds who conceded a try with in minutes
even if bailey was 3rd man in every tackle, so what. it shows that he works hard, likes to help his team mates out, and that no one must like running straight at him/near him. just ask mary

| I think that Bailey will get a ban this week.
You only had to see the damage to that Saints players face to see he went into his face.
I thought he could have got a red card !

Don't think fool. Based on this drivel you need to concentrate all your brain power on gettting to the toilet before it's too late and making sure you don't drool in public.
Even the Stains fans aren't such big fools - they haven't b!tched about the tackle at all. Let me guess - you ain't from Stains you are from a team that hasn't won Jack and is embarrased 3 times a year by them.
Am I right fool. Actually don't answer, think about making it to the toilet in time.

| The only thing I would be worried about is that teams seem able to suck Leeds into this type of play, especially when they are losing! It seems no coincidence that both Leeds' losses this year have followed "fights" on the pitch.

| whats all this whining about coming in third man?! if a player for my team just stood there and watched two team mates trying to wrestle someone up id go mental. players are taught to come in 3rd man, and like wise players are taught to 'open up' a player for the 3rd man to come in and complete the tackle.
if anyones complaining about things boiling over, go and watch football instead. i want to see my RL played with fire, passion and intensity, played within inches of the laws of the game. I accept that means players are gonna cross the line from time to time.
baileys bad rep comes more from just generally being dirty when its not neeeded, ie when leeds are running riot. theres just no need. thats why fans of other teams hate him...

Unless, of course you have any specific incidents of him generally being dirty you'd care to share? You know, examples of red cards or even yellow cards for foul play, that sort of thing.

There's nothing wrong with third man in, at all. But Graham's only hit on Bailey came in this form. Hardly showing him a thing or two is it? He's static, held by two others, and then Graham pops up and knocks him down. Compare that to the Bailey shot on Maurie. Which is the better hit? If Graham felt the need to settle a score, he could have gone one on one with the big man, in attack or defense, but he chose not to. I'll let you work that one out for yourself.
If you want to see rugby which is hard, firey and with passion, you shouldn't mind Bailey's rough stuff. His 'track record' isn't like most made out. Players can't handle his style, and if they can't get on top of him, they'll moan about him, which transfers through to the supporters. With Bailey being officially, 'the most feared man in Super League' comes these situations. It's easier to continue to de-rail someone than to look through objective eyes and hold your hands up and say 'I was wrong'.

you wanna be careful throwing that card around...
i dont have a problem with bailey in general, i like my props to have a bit of c*** about them - thats how it should be. its just not needed when you hammering the other team. he was like it at junior rugby, always taking any opportunity to smash the little kids up who didnt have a chance. he doesnt ALWAYS front up against the big teams

smith didn't punch out, he pushed out. big difference, and after having his hair pulled, given a facial and saints trying to slow the ball down. it was a fairly normal reaction (not saying it was correct or what we should have in our game), that's normally ignored and play continues. gilmour then throws 5/6 punches at a player still on his knee's. yet has nothing done to him, yeh wise call
To be fair, I'm not sure it's Gilmour who gives most of the facial. If you watch www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Episode_7/
you might be left wondering exactly what role Pryce is playing, and more to the point where his hands are. Also worth looking at around the 5 minute mark where Burrow gets laid out. I thought he'd been clattered by Long's knee when I saw it on Friday - looks more like he's hit by a leading elbow when replayed.

Here I draw my own experience:
He made me bleed at junior level. I was playing for Oulton Raiders, he was playing for Mirfield. I have always been a big lad, but he was huge. He gave me a hell of a hand-off. Bust my lip, I got up and tackled him from behind (with the help of another guy). We got tonked. He was at another level. He was a nice lad off the field. He smashed everyone, like he does now. That was his job. And I really don't see your point.
I take it your invite to the Bailey meet has already been posted by Special Delivery.
