Wing is always the last place i would look to strengthen when you have many other areas as we do; but it's hard not to come to the conclusion that our options there are thin on the ground and that in turn leaves us with limited options at FB as if you have a good rotation of 3/4 wingers you normally have one who can fill in well at FB as we did when we had BJB for example.

Newman will get a big defensive test at centre on Friday, he has a tendency to get drawn in and allow his centre on the outside.

That’s not a good trait v Cas left edge attack. Reckon he will be targeted

Of course I would sooner have Golding covering FB goes without saying.
But how about Newman to FB with Tom Briscoe to centre and Luke Briscoe on the wing.
Tom played well there in a friendly and his defence is ok.
But if Hurrell is missing I would leave Newman and have Golding at FB.

This will be an interesting one to see if you have turned a corner or if catalans are as bad as everyone thinks. You only beat them by a similar score to what london did to them on their own patch a couple of weeks earlier so a difficult one to measure

Not really. Catalans are much better than London really. London got hammered by Cas. Friday whatever happens can not be measured to Sunday’s game. I would much rather be playing Hull KR, and Hull, before playing Cas. Then we could have been able to tell better if we have turned.

Hull are beter than cas but you'll beat us no matter how well we're playing. How many years is it since we won at headingley?

Yes Trueman is out, on paper the cas side seems beatable but they tend to raise their game against us

Never one to stick up for Golding but we need to take into account he is not up to first team conditioning/standard as he has not played SL for some time.

If Hurrell is injured either go with Handley or Tom Briscoe at centre bringing in Luke Briscoe or keep as is and draft in Alex Sutcliffe to centre.

We should not be letting Liam Sutcliffe anywhere near the backs unless it`s back row or back in the stands.
