| Quote: Harrigan "all this talk about getting rid of a coach who has had to do a job missing several key players (yes, I appreciate that some of it is down to game plan ect.) after just 5 games is ridiculous! At this moment in time I believe we have the same record as this time last year.'"
That statement is either arrogant or ignorant, not sure which at the moment but probably the latter.
Quote: Harrigan "What a load of rubbish
Wigan would never have capitulated to Harlequins in the way we did no matter who played!!'"
No need to add to it then.
Not according to the Opta stats in 2010
Hey, I've paid my money so I'll stand where I like.

| You need at least 10 games to give any indication of how good your team is. Even after 10 games you still may not know then. Think you have been playing under your potential rather than being a poor team. I am sure Brian will identify what needs to be done.

Again, fair enough, how do you envisage the other 9 teams closing the gap? I think the licencing process has 'encouraged' a lot of teams to get themselves sorted financially, and hopefully this will lead to an improvement throughout RL in general in the next 6-12 years.
Improvig the image of RL also needs to be a priority, from a competitive international competition(s), to the geographical location in which the game is played at at a professional level, and the stadia in which games are played, and the numbers in attendance at all games.

| The only reason we have lost our last 2 games is that we are making too many unforced errors, which is not the fault of the coach but the players outhere on the damn pitch, if the players had only made half the errors they have so far this season the Rhinos would be top of the league.

Again we come back to this lack of interpretation of the numbers - Leuluai seldom does more than 40 minutes in a game so if you divided his missed tackles into minutes played and then see how that compares to the likes of Jones Buchanan etc.

Leuluai is there to provide punishing defence and with that comes a few that will miss their mark, that is the price you pay. When you're ready with your calculator don't forget to do the same exercise for Eastwood and Kirke who I imagine put in similar average game time to Leuluai last season.
What was your claim again?
I suppose you still believe your Wigan point also.

Agree re Wigan
Whether he is there for impact or not is irrelevant to how many tackles he misses or even doesn't get close which are excluded from the stats.
So from your stats he is still in the bottom 3 if you take into account time on the pitch - hardly going to cause other team mates to have to increase their workload due to him not being available - in fact should make their life easier?
The fact still remains the team has conceeded an average of >30 points a game that is a suitation that should give some concern as is difficult to score when you will spending so much time stood behind your own sticks?

| Much of your post I could agree with, just some of it didn't stack up and you appeared quite adamant. You have a problem with Leuluai's defence, I know I've read your posts, it's not a view I share.

| Quote: Keith Swiftcorn "A recognition that there are only a maximum of five SL clubs who are genuinely competitive... and by that, I mean are genuine contenders to win the SL title. The rest of the SL clubs are nothing more than window dressing.
I do retain some reservations with regard to the inclusion of Huddersfield among the genuinely competitive elite. They may just be an occasional nuisance factor.'"
Just one problem Keith...
The other 4 clubs in SL all have an extra game to Leeds (because they played each other at the Magic Weekend, whereas Leeds played a Championship side in Bradford). Do you think the powers that be might take this into consideration??

If I'm honest, I'm actually pretty interested in seeing how Keith's SSL works out! (Obviously if our significant disadvantage is taken into consideration!)

| By the looks, TVOC is a bit of a stat man - i reckon 2001/2 was the last time Leeds finished below 4th???
i bet this season they will finish outside of top 5

| So everyone slating me
Did Brian McDermott have the CV that warrents the Leeds Job of today??
Tony Smith did a ver good job with limited recources at Huddersfield and took over a Leeds side that wasnt reaching potential and not won anything for 5 years
his replacement was someone who upset all the odds and hammered the Australians with NZ - a coach who had least won something
Brian McDermott didnt do a good job on anyfront as far as i'm concerned at H'quins
I'm not being arrogant at the fact Leeds have had a good 5-6 years - just putting the point accross that a coach with a proven track record should have being appointed
