| i thinks its a good idea to spread it about, but at least announce it before the season so people aren't booking hotels to the wrong area

Given that the Catalan region spreads all the way down to Barcelona, I'd be happy to see some of the Catalan home games move to some venues in Northern Spain too.
After all, it's where half of us will be spending most of the time / staying when we're all there in the next couple of weeks !

It caused a huge problem to the gathered masses from the team formally known as "Calder" though, if you don't put a free bus on to take them somewhere they stand around on street corners blaming the council.

| I see from the club website that Sky has moved the Quins game to a 6pm kick off, I guess that this could caause problems for folk wanting to go there & back in the day by train.
The customer always comes first but only if you're a Sky customer.

I would say now that it is more or less impossible to do it there and back in the day by train, as the last ones off Kings Cross back to Yorkshire on a Saturday is 20.00 to Leeds and 20.30 to York and beyond.
Given that the game will finish at nearly 19.45 and with a journey back in to the capital to negotiate, I'd suggest little or no chance on either of those.
One option that might be available is I think a later train to Sheffield from St Pancras ... However, this would mean driving to and from Sheffield and leaving the car there for the day and quoshing any chance of a few sherberts on the day out.

| I am sorry, but Newport is a hole. I would not go out in Newport at night. It was not that long ago that I read in the papers in Wales which said that "Newport is officially the most dangerous town in Britain" with a lot of late night violence. Stay in Leeds or wherever as it will be safer. And the ground is also a hole.

10381.jpg There is no such thing as bad weather.......only the wrong type of clothes
EDIT: Except in Ireland where there is no such thing as good weather:10381.jpg |

| I grew up near Newport , got out as fast as I could! It was indeed reported as the most dangerous place in GB a few years back, but don't worry, things have only got worse since then. It's a hole of the first degree.
The ground is just a few minutes walk from both the town centre (sic) and the train station. (Come out of the main doors, turn left and follow the road really). There are a couple of pubs en route, although enter at your own risk really.
The ground used to have quite a good supporters bar, similar to the FAE, but I''m not sure if it's still there.
There are a fair number of RL fans in the area though and, being Welsh, they wont travel far, so they could swell the crowd, although they do tend to be St Helens and Wigan fans.
My nephew will be there - he's a Rhinos fan - he will show you all the "sights" if you really want to see them!
Honestly, I would drive there and back in a day from Leeds. The thought of staying over a night fills me with dread even now, 20 years after leaving this god forsaken end of the world and on a bit further dump.
Trust me, Bradford is nice when compared to Newport.

Train to Sheffield is at 20.55. This gets in at 23.00. There is a connecting train to Leeds at 23.15. You would HAVE to get the 19.53 IIRC out of Twickenham and change at Vauxhall and pick up the Victoria line which would get you to St Pancras with time to spare.
