At least Wakey were playing saints though so its slightly more understandable, although I agree with Matts sentiment that some things just aren't called for at all, especially last night after recent events.

But (and this pains me to say!) I agree with Damo on this, you weren't playing Saints so why sing about Saints? We said the same last night about the Saints fans singing songs about Leeds and Wigan, perhaps they were using it as a "choir" practise for upcoming games? I don't know but both clubs have enough of their own songs that there should be no need to sing about clubs you aren't playing.

I thought Jade Goody died on the Saturday, but Max Clifford postponed it until Sunday? He also selected Saturday for the funeral so those who care about her won't miss episodes of Jeremy Kyle.

Interesting, as "we all hate leeds" is sang at pretty much every ground every weekend. That green eyed monster is a wonderful thing.

And if you read what I said Jordan I have to same feelings about that being sang when we aren't playing Leeds. Its nothing to do with a green eyed monster at all (I know you are keen to put everything down to that but come on people sing anti wigan songs when not playing wigan and not a lot of reason for green eyed monster there )

My view is, and always has been, that chants and songs at games should be primarily to support your team and then of course some about the team your playing - all other teams shouldn't be mentioned!

Because, like I said, all he might have done was shove the bloke. You never shoved anyone? The other charge was dropped as the prosecution provided no evidence. If he did shove him, or even if he punched him, so what? It was one on one. Since when do we start charging blokes with assault when they have a fight, one on one? Maybe when we have a point to make or a career to ruin? Who knows. I'm not judging Leon because I wasn't there, the whole thing sounds like a complicated mess anyway and I haven't read the court transcript.

Sorry but for him to have been convicted - and indeed for him to have pleaded guilty - he has done something he shouldn't have and he knows it and that action can not (and should not) be condoned.

He was legally represented and pleaded guilty. You don't have any experience or, indeed, understanding of the criminal justice system do you?
The court, having heard the accepted fatcs and undoubtedly considering the relevant sentencing guidelines, has indicated custody is a possibility. As much as you don't like the situation, that is what happened...get over it.
