| so the question is do we need a "big " signing to impove the (obviously) crap team we have or to lure glory hunters, sorry of course I mean fans, If the first then who loses out in the present team? if the second I'm sure Gary would like there pennies, not sure I would.

The creditors will be happy if an asset did sell for £0!
Very unlikely to happen.

What is arrogant about the CEO saying he would like to increase season ticket sales by 10%?
What would you like him to say?

| I really don't know what the issue is with The Sleeve saying he wants to raise the season tickets sold by 10%. I always target my engineers to close off their incidents within 40% of the SLA. I know thats a push but it still doesnt top me setting the target

The arrogance isn't in wanting to atttract a thousand new season ticket holders, even if it is somewhat optimistic.
The arrogance is that whilst attracting a thousand new people, he is expecting to keep all his current 9000 season ticket holders. This despite the poor quality of the product over the last season and before.
You only have to look at the many posts that have been on this board throughout the last three months, and remember posters on this board are only a minority of total leeds support, to see that many individuals are not going to purchase season tickets next season and instead pick and choose.
It is stated that the club look at the views of all fans, and look around the message boards. Threfore IMO it shows arrogance to talk only of new ticket holders.

He's the CEO of an organisation that is enjoying it's golden era. We're back to back champions.
Even if we've had two season's of mediocre rugby during the regular season it would be truly negligent of the CEO not to try and increase season ticket sales on the back of a championship season. He should be setting the target that way.
Or, would you rather him say "I know some season ticket holders are dis-content with the quality of rugby over the last two years but, please, pretty please, buy another season ticket"?
I am a disillusioned season ticket holder. That is to say, disillusioned with the quality of the rugby in the regular rounds but delighted with what the team has done overall. I will probably be getting a new season ticket (still haven't decided) for reasons beyond just the rugby. But having said that if hetherington had not come out and done is best to polish this particular turd I'd have been very annoyed with him.
I think you're confusing "arrogance" with "shrewd".

From an outsiders perspective, I can possibly see why some would be thinking that way despite the continued success. Your team clearly play the current structure of SL perfectly, knowing that they can go through the motions early doors and just need to turn it on properly for the last couple of months and claim the title. Some of the fans following suit and only starting to turn up from July/August makes a bit of sense with most people in the country having to watch their spending more these days.
