Problem is theyve nowhere else to play. Its ok saying they will play in Oct/Nov, they wont have played for 7 or 8 months by then and thats why they need game time now. In fact Sam Walters hasnt played since February so could be 9 months for him.

They cant physically do 80% of the games. They have to be brought thru gradually especially forwards.

9 months without a game is damaging for a players development, I really hope we see these players soon as dropping them in in October is not great planning

Firstly Boden Thompson is not a never have been, has played at a good level in some good teams. Players can transform from ok to great and back again when they are at different clubs with different coaches. Lets give the lad a chance.
Secondly saying they havent played in 6-9 months is the clubs fault is ridiculous, no one had played in 4.5 months. Please have realistic expectations during a global pandemic

Agreed, but what they could do is play half the remaining games and play roughly half the minutes in those games. With no relegation there isn’t a better time to play the kids.

I think this may well happen and hopefully the coaching team will target games for them to be used in.

Agar says exactly that and explains why they went for Bodene Thompson and it makes a lot of sense.

Relying on kids and not using a full squad when the fixture list is goimg to be very heavy on the players is IMO irresponsible.

No, what's being said is that by oct/Nov there will have been 2-3+ months of rugby, they should definitely be introduced before then. Of course nobody is blaming the club for 5 months of not playing, but someone suggested they'd get there chance in oct/Nov massively extending their lack of match practice!!! Please have a reasonable grasp as to whats actually being said.

I dont think Thompson is good enough for Leeds but i do understand with Ward, Donaldson and Mellor out for a while we probably do need an experienced body and there wont have been many available. Hes a solid pro who wont let us down.

Personally id prefer the kids to be given a chance but i also realise its impossible for them to perform every week.

Its a fine balance but ultimately if Leeds are to be successful again the kids have to come thru and be held accountable to perform at a high standards.

Agars presser today he said the kids will be given a chance soon so lets hope he carries that thru.

Strange but two weeks ago in the Yorkshire Post and RL press both Leeds and Huddersfield said there was ‘no way’ are we going to sign any Toronto player.
