| There's no way they'll drop a brand they've established. I think they're rightly trying to have the best of both worlds. I'll buy plenty of stuff with the old logo on.

You're probably right - and it's hard to disagree with that... I'd also definitely buy gear with the old logo - preferably a stitched logo too - none of this plasticy, come off in the wash/under the iron rubbish.

| They did a lot of stuff a couple of years ago in the 'Vintage' range which seemed to sell very well. It puzzled me that they didn't properly follow up on that.
Other than a baseball cap in 1997 and a Gilbert ball the year after I've never bought any merchandise with the Rhinos logo on. Partly that's because I've never fully reconciled myself to the name but partly it's because the club has very little idea about subtlety in the things they produce. Stick a giant version of that logo on it and they think it will sell. This superdry stuff follows the same pattern, just a different logo. Not for me.
Would I vote to get rid of the name? I've genuinely never used it to refer to the team so wouldn't miss it.Somehow though, and despite the club's nonexistent branding efforts in '97, the name has caught on with lots of fans so I imagine it would be hard to lose it now.

| Unlike some other clubs, Leeds have made their nickname really work so don't see the need to revert back (same style names in the NRL & NFL and they're hardly thought of as naff). Just smart thinking to come up with some alternative gear for the older fan who might prefer the old style logo.
Seriously doubt they'll get rid, the new home kit for a start has the words "20 years of Rhinos" on the back of it and they've been using that phrase last week on the anniversary of Caddick & GH taking over.
Key question in any thought of getting rid of the name would be "would it be financially smart to do?" Would we sell more or less stuff if we just had things with the old traditional name/logo or if we stuck with the Rhinos name but produced older stuff like the stuff shown and as 'Him' said earlier have the best of both worlds. Pretty certain it'd be the latter.

| It has always grated me that the Loiner moniker has been somewhat consigned to the history bin. There is still a place for it in the modern era and I feel there should be a certain amount of shame from the sleeve and his cohorts that they have actually encouraged this over the last 2 decades.

| What I would add though is that we could do with new more modern up-to-date Rhinos logo. The current one does look very 90's.

If you're going to get over a new name it won't help if you cling onto the old one too much. Look at Wakefield, Wildcats never stuck because they kept Trinity also and are now reverting back to that.

| I for one would like an update of the Rhinos logo... It looks very 90's as said above.

| I think the kids love the rhinos aspect of it so I don't see why they would get rid
If anyone should change there badge it should be Leeds united, the badge with the Yorkshire rose and the football in the middle we had in the 90s was a classic

But on the other end of the scale you have Warrington. The Wolves aspect works very well hand in hand with the traditional Wire element.
