| And the improvement carries on. Much will be made of the weather and the errors from Wakefield but you have to give us credit for helping to force those mistakes. Biggest difference we are seeing is that we are winning collisions in both attack and defence which had been so absent during the season.
Falloon was solid/steady and just provides a balance to the side that a normal 9 does. Loads of good games in the forwards and Garbutt again is making loads of metres and is making what a few were saying with writing him off as a poor signing and that any old prop could've come in and done what he did last year look completely wrong. Thought Hardaker looked fine and at least looks like someone who will do his bit for the team until/if he leaves. Gotcha was spot on about McGuire, some really poor moments from him but crucially unlike last week he came up with some good stuff too. If he can increase the latter and cut out more of the former then another good sign moving ahead.

Something we definitely agree upon. Don't think they've ever played a game win or lose where the referee hasn't favoured the opposition according to their fans. They just pip Hudds fans in that regards and comes from thier small club mindsets of thinking the refs always favour the big clubs.

Well played Leeds, by far the better team last night. I had some great rugby conversations with really decent Leeds fans last night. Your comment of 'small club mindset' is everything wrong with a small minority of your fans.
We have played some exceptional rugby in the last few months and yes last night we were garbage but a little dignity in your comments wouldn't go amiss.

| I don't think there have been many positive things to say about McD this season but a few positives are coming through that it's only fair to recognise:
1. Sutty being kept at fb even though hardaker is back. Totally the right move given hardaker is wanting out. Suttys confidence is coming back as well.
2. Galloway and Falloon are now settling in and getting better with more gametime. It's taken a while for sure but they look much better.
3. The defensive effort and coordination seems to be working out and while the last two games have not been high quality affairs things are getting better.
Of course there is still a lot to do but this is the first bit of momentum we have had this year.

| Was that James Lowes with team last night also? I couldn't tell, but people saying he has been doing the defensive work last three weeks.

| As others have said, another good defensive display. In awful first half conditions, Leeds held the ball much better, with Peter fox type tactics. Not sure I have ever seen a team lose as much ball in contact as wakey did. Thought Leeds got the rub from child but he was fairly random as per usual. Falloon tackled well and provided nice simple passing. Singleton really banged in and achurch on attack now looking like a classy wide running 2nd row. I can't speyk.

If Wakefield fans can be guilty of small club mentality, that right there is big club mentality. Heaven forbid little old Wakefield could string a run of good wins together without luck.

| 2 more positives - Ryan Hall looked well and played very well. Thought Sutcliffe also did well and kicked 8 from 8. He appears to be kicking through the ball much better.

| I've never once been impressed with Garbutt for a sustained amount of time but thought he stood out the most from your pack last night.

| Garbutt has been the best Leeds prop for several weeks now - his improvement in form has been matched by Cuthbertson going the other way - sadly

Can you find a prop with more metres per game than Garbutt (137m avg.)? That's better than Hill, Walmsley, Amor, Dave and Scott Taylor etc....
