Why would you rebrand when we are in our most successful period ever? That doesnt make sense. The club has been built up into a fromidable brand thanks to the onfield success. You wouldn't want to then change it around.

As is enevitable in the cyclical nature of sport we will have a 'down period'. Thats when I would consider thinking about a rebrand excercise to try and boost interest when we arent making finals.

Someone mentioned our logo looks very 90's. Would you therefore advocate a change of logo every decade? Id hope not. Apart from the obvious costs associated you end up devaluing the brand as a whole by constantly changing it.

For me, Id leave it as is, for now anyway.

However, I would venture that there is a big difference between tweaking the shading of part of a badge and a rebrand.

Totally agree that brands need to always be pushing forward but its about picking your time, and I dont believe now is that time. Maybe in a couple of years when we revamp parts of the stadium and are looking for new and bigger sponsors.

As for the shirt comment, I get your point but Im not convinced its relevant. Are you suggesting a new badge every year to go with the change of shirt? Perhaps we could have one brand for away games, one for home games and a special one for charity? I didnt think so either.

Unless the name is to be changed from Leeds Rhinos I don't see why the logo needs to change. Any kind of logo that has a rhino on it is going to look tacky anyway so why bother changing the one we've got?

Just googled 'rhinos logo' and decided ours doesn't need changing.

If the brand is successful it doesn't need rebranding.

I think the Widnes logo looks like a sign that the 3-breasted hooker in Total Recall would use to advertise what was on offer.
