Both of them are, IMO, performing at the same high level as they were 2-3 years ago. Not sure you can say the same about Peacock.

Plus, both of them have already built up a reputation in Australia and shown they can handle the NRL. Peacock hasn't.

Last time I checked (this morning actually) Civoniceva was still driving the ball in straight at the opposition to good effect without recourse to any 180 degree safety-first pirouettes at the point of impact with his back to the opposition.

I think what Keith is referring to is Peacock's tendency to spin in the tackle. Quite why Keith is referring to it in a negative way I have no idea. It's a legitimate technique taught to forwards in order to shift the balance of the tacklers and allow further advance up field by the ball carrier. Good prop work and harder to defend against than a simple drive. It also opens up greater possibility for offloads.

I completely agree that it's also a legitimate technique which works effectively in Super League and opens up greater possibilities at that particular level. But that wasn't the context of earlier pontifications by others on this thread.
