| He owns the joint, he ain't going nowhere.
He made an enormous mistake appointing the two failed coaching clowns. Now he need to put it right. I don't believe he will until seasons end but I've made my mind up.

GH - he has reached his level of incompetence
McDermott - wrong time wrong place
Lowes - never ever was a right time
Burrow - if he runs in any more circles he will damage the pitch
JJB - taxi required
Senior - pension book required
Kylie - plane ticket
Kirke - job centre
Ali - stealing a living
Delanney - not good enough
Huraki - anywhere, just get him out of the blue & amber'"
I feel sorry for Hauraki. Whilst he has had a nightmare start on the field, I think that shows up the coaches more than him: in how they integrate a new player, how they use his skills, how they give him structure and confidence coming into a new team. If you saw him last year for Crusaders you'd know he's got talent. If you saw him for the NZ Maori you'd see what he can do when being fed the ball by Rangi Chase rather than Rob Burrow. I think he'll be a good player for Leeds (given a proper coach) and I hope the crowd don't write him off because of a chaotic start.
I also think you're being amazingly unfair saying that GH has "reached his level of incompetence". He's made some serious mistakes over the last year, but that's an odd thing to write given the outstanding things he's done for Leeds over a more than "competent" executive career.

How the hell do you [inot[/i see that being a disaster?'"
I have to say, speaking as a Londoner, I couldn't believe it when Leeds gave Mac the job - he may have made an OK assistant but he was hopeless in charge at the Stoop and was becoming increasingly bizarre in his mannerisms from week to week ! He was out of his depth and now at Headingly he clearly seems to be a man not waving but drowning!
But please can you keep him long enough so he'll still be in charge when you guys come down South this season ? We're really looking forward to giving him a proper Cockney welcome back to his old stomping ground - after we've had the 2 points of course!

| Quote RoyFrancis="RoyFrancis"Precisely! McD has lost the team, that team does not want to play for this coach. '" Evidence = zero. You've been telling us after every bad defeat for the past decade that coach has "lost" the team. The team, or the team's key players, got McDermott the job in the first place and I ain't seen any evidence from up close examination that they think the core of the current issues would be solved if only he weren't around.
Paradoxically however, the coach himself may be starting to see things differently.

| If GH does decide to sack the coaches, who does he replace them wth? I can't think of too many decent options.
I do think BM & JL need to go but what are our alternatives?

Good question at the moment Graham Murray is available or if he waits till next year then John Lang is out of a job so is Daniel Anderson.
One other name i can think of is Darryl Powell he's done very good job at Fev imo but as for Millward and Noble no thanks.

| McD is staring to break club records – unfortunately they are at the wrong end of the record book.
I said I’d give him the benefit of the doubt until the end of the season but after performances like that it is becoming increasingly harder to bite my tongue.
In the Long bar last night he said, and I paraphrase a little, “we have to look within to find answers, the lads can’t train any harder than they do – it is in them all to play better we just have to find a way to get it out”
No Brian, it’s your fookin’ job to get them to play better.
How many times last night did we try the power play? We can’t even get the basics anywhere near right and we’re trying to run it in on the fifth!
This is a Championship winning squad and we are rapidly becoming the whipping boys of the league. On last nights performance I’m struggling to think of a club that isn’t going to take two points off us.

My point is this - GH has done a superb job in the past but he doesn't learn from his mistakes and his decision making of late has been appalling. In the commercial world any boss that made the kind of errors he has made would no longer have a job. It could be that GH stays to run the commercial side of the club and the Rhinos bring someone in to run the run the rugby side.
The mistakes:
1. Not spending the money on a top coach - he saw what happened with Lance and Powell and he repeats the action with McDermott
2. Not getting a grip of the player power culture at Leeds - even Smith struggled to cope with that. This will not change anytime soon when you keep giving long contract extensions. They got rid of the last 3 coaches and they will get rid of this one - maybe its time we got rid of some the players. This also effects overseas recruitment with players seemingly not wanting to come to Leeds
3. Over loyalty to players Senior should not be still playing nor should the likes of Ali, Kylie etc - the idea of Barrie McDermott as head of youth development is a joke
4. Poor recruitment - GH is never at the front of the queue when it comes to recruiting he is always picking up the scraps
