| Hull have been linked to Joel Thompson as well to replace Minichiello and Manu. We are also heavily linked with Alex Glenn from the Broncos. Out of the 2, I would rather have Glenn

Google says Alex has just signed a contract with FC for next season.

| With the deadline for letting OOC players approaching, am I right in thinking we only have 3 players OOC at the end of the year?
Brett Ferres, Brad Dwyer & James Donaldson with JJB retiring.

| Also Cameron Smith according to the first team squad thread on this site. No detail on Wellington Albert's contract either.
I hope we retain Smith and Dwyer.
I don't see the point in keep in Ferres.
Donaldson might have to make way if we wish to bring better quality players in. Ditto Albert.
JJB is retiring, but I'd be hopeful to see Delaney-style announcements on Cuthbertson, Ablett and maybe even Crosby, depending on their contribution across the rest of the season.
I'd also hope GH can wield the axe a la Hay, Sheridan and Pratt with the likes of Golding, Singleton, and Briscoe junior, although they may all be accommodated in the new reserve team.

| Aidan Sezer (Canberra half back) might be about to become available. Worth a punt?

| Alex Glenn is solid but has been left behind a bit in recent years as the Broncos have gone for size and power.
Just on Briscoe Jr, he's exactly the sort of player you'd want a few of in a reserve team - competent in a number of positions and able to fill in the first team if required. The only difference would be playing for Leeds A instead of Fev or whoever. You only need maybe three or four of those guys, with the rest of the team made up of juniors having a go at open age and returning injured players/those just outside the 17. In the past we had players like Paul Gill and even John Holmes - happy to get a game with mates in the reserves and help younger players develop, with the very occasional first team call up.

Not sure how accurate these reports are of players not signing new deals at their current clubs?,as Gawwy has regularly resigned players without making it public knowledge
But IF this report is true then apparently Wigan have notified clubs that 7 of their players can be approached after the 1st May deadline and that Joe Burgess is on that list
www.rlnews.co.uk/reports-wigan-o ... her-clubs/
IMO he is better than any of our current first team wingers and i would be interested in bringing him to the club IF he is actually available.
I wouldn't want to sign an overseas quota player who was a winger as IMO we need better quality in other positions that we cant necessarily replace from SL without paying huge transfer fees
Burgess would be a free signing but would command a decent salary
Thoughts Guys
