| Quote Frosties.="Frosties."Michael Monaghan, Cameron Ciraldo, Ryan Carr are good names for me definitely and I’d be pleased with them. Justin Morgan is a strange one considering how long he’s been out of work in a top job.'"
Might be GH and the cheaper option again ?

| I'd be on the phone to Stephen Kearney and Marc Brentnall at Melbourne Storm. They are the gold standard for how a RL club should be run. Or you could even try for Craig Bellamy who's currently weighing up whether this year will be his last one with them. It's be an enormous coup to get him but it who knows? Probably too expensive though.

Gary probably could not afford the smashed tea cups never mind Bellamy's salary.

| Quote ArthurClues="ArthurClues"Exactly. To me this was always the concern with Agar ceasing to be the coach. I would argue that both JJB and Long are equally culpable, if not more so, for the current mess but now they are in charge! What chance of them leaving the club when a new coach is finally appointed? Slim, I would think.'"
That JJB / Long are in this position shows how poor the decision making around coaching has been.

| We really need to get this appointment right. If Long and JJB are part of the furniture for the foreseeable, we need someone with experience and authority that will impress upon the assistants the need to learn and change things if necessary.
We may well still see a response with JJB in charge but I hope he's not holding the reins for too long.

I suspect at one point Rob Burrow was possibly part of the head coach succession planning equation. Seem to recall him mentioning ambitions in that direction at one point. Tragically not to be.

I feel that he would of been the head coach right now had it not of been for his MND diagnosis.

| Rob had the most potential at the club and was the only one rightfully coaching on the scholarship when they used to chuck scholarship roles at anyone in the first team.

| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"From the outside looking in I'm really not sure what Agar has done to engender such loyalty from the Rhinos board? He doesn't strike me as being any more worthy to be in a DOR role than a head coach role. If he had a glittering CV of previous coaching and leadership greatness then fine, but where is it?
Are there any rumours on where you go from here? Will Sean Long be given a chance? Or JJB? Or straight to the assistant coach market in the NRL? Plenty of worthwhile candidates there.
There are some decent senior coaches available in Danny Ward with his Leeds ties, Paul Green from the NRL. Cameron Ciraldo at the Panthers has a big reputation and wants to be a head coach, Michael Monaghan likewise, currently at Manly I think?'"
As a saints fan you probably won't know that the Hetherington's love him as thier own (especially Kath who was in charge at Hull where she installed him as head coach as well), so that is why he get the 'loyalty'. It is also why they have stated 'he has stepped down' rather than being sacked so they can continue to keep in a job 'for the boys' position where he will have no chance of being sacked. The facts are if you know Agar personally he is far too arrogant and too big an ego to step down of his own accord, and you can ask any of the players and they will tell you the same.... He has failed miserably at each of the 'Big' clubs he has coached at who have had the 'biggest' player budget. I see many have fallen for the 'Agar stepped down' line the club have put out.....bbbhhhhaaaaahhh

I'd have doubts about a lot towards the bottom obviously but the only ones which would make me take scissors to the season ticket card are McNamara and Lam.
