I wonder if the regulation ban for a high late tackle is 2 games as in the case of Donaldson. Had Austin been dealt with last week and got 2 games one would have been used for the Hunslet game. But because the panel didn’t deal with it until this week only 1 game was given. It will be interesting to see what happens if there are any similar hits this weekend. Only the RL can be so stupid as to come out with a statement like we were too busy, surely the guys on the panel are not doing this purely for the love of the game so they should deal with all cases at the given time!
Re selection for Saturday Myler at 6 for me and Broadbent at 1 if Newman is fit. If Newman is out then Walker at 1 and Broadbent for Newman and Myler at 6.
Tet will be in front of Smith at 13, moving to prop when starting props rest.

Austin getting banned has put bit of dampener on it from build up perspective. Channel 4 could have played on the ‘shafted’ Austin vs Old oppressor’s. But RL has again found a way to shoot itself in the foot……

Not suggesting Smith is not good enough or Tet is better. I just think that starting Tet at 13 and Smith on the bench is Agars preferred option.
I actually think Smith is a good player and has a great future and hopefully at Leeds.

Id suggest the pre season friendlies show otherwise.

Time to move on, Austin isnt playing. I think the main battle will be up front. I know people want Cam Smith starting at 13 but you wouldnt be suprised to see Mik, Tet and Prior all starting with Smith on the bench again would you? Not saying thats right way to go but now Prior is fit you wouldnt be shocked if those 3 started.

Wire have a big advantage in the halves now but if our pack can get on top it will help stop that. Not sure who Wire have replaced Chris Hill with for this year. Maybe they are slightly weaker up front? I dont know. I can certainly see it being a physical battle Saturday.

Williams is pure class and a big danger. 2 very good teams it will be a big boost for whoever gets the points but both should be challenging come playoff time.

Like others have said, Myler to half back and Walker / Broadbent to full back. Centre's two of Newman, Sutcliffe and Briscoe.

Shame to lose Austin, however, the above options are still more than capable.

I haven't seen Wanky's team for comparison. Shame Kendall is ref, worst ref in SL for mine.

From what the Wire fans are saying I think they also think they are a bit light upfront. Whilst Austin being out is a blow I don't think it will make or break the game, we have a capable squad.

Will be an interesting battle and hopefully a great spectacle for Channel 4
