| Quote chapylad="chapylad"Totally agree a clear out is required but doubt any player on a contract will leave just to help out the club.
Trying to make any decent signings will depend on which league we are playing in.
All the criticism of McDermott who in my opinion should have gone last year proves even with the messiah on board the playing squad was not up to it and that criticism should be placed firmly on GH `s door.
As good as Sinfield is he isn`t going to turn this team round in a hurry.
With the players leaving and the players not up to it we need about 6 or 7 new signings which I`m not sure isn`t going to happen.'"
Exactly my point. There isn’t a chance the staff at the club will pay off players like Ferres, Ormondroyd. He’s got one year left, it’ll take time but the players will leave over the next few years.
1. Ashton Golding
2. Tom Briscoe
3. Kallum Watkins
4. Liam Sutcliffe
5. ????
6. Tuimoala Lolohea
7. Richie Myler
8. Adam Cuthbertson
9. Matt Parcell
10. Brad Singleton
11. Brett Ferres
12. ???
13. Stevie Ward
14. Brad Dwyer
15. ???
16. Anthony Mullally
17. Mitch Garbutt
18. Jordan Thompson
19. Nathaniel Peteru
20. Luke Briscoe
21. Mikolaj Oledzki
22. Ash Handley
23. Jack Ormondroyd
24. Jack Walker
25. Cameron Smith
26. Harry Newman
27. Alex Sutcliffe
28. Josh Walters
29. Owen Trout
30. Tom Holroyd
31. Corey Johnson
That’s what I’m expecting next season with a few players coming in the free spots.

| I didn't realise how poor you actually are. But with those players you still shouldn't be hammered like that & in the bottom 4. I don't think I've ever watched a TV game where the coach/es don't seem to issue a single verbal communication. Was there someone on the sidelines giving instructions? Sinfield was looking at the laptop, but at least give Lowes a colouring book & crayons to keep his small brain occupied.

| Quote Frosties.="Frosties."Whilst I’d love to see us make loads of changes and have a clear out, I can’t see us losing a lot of players. Hall confirmed as going, Jordan-Roberts and Galloway already gone. Lilley out on loan to Bradford. That’s four players who had squad numbers already.
Ablett, L Briscoe, Delaney, JJB, Keinhorst, Moon, Mullally, Thompson, Walters left out of contract. Crosby on loan but out of contract at Warrington. Moon already stated himself he’s leaving, Keinhorst signed for Hull KR.
Walters and Mullally rumoured to have signed new deals. Expecting Thompson and Briscoe to be given new deals. Crosby already signed elsewhere apparently. That leaves Ablett, Delaney and JJB all of which I’d be happy to let go.'"
This is going to take a couple of years to sort out, and only if we replace the players that we need to with suitable quality. Thompson and Briscoe are championship quality players, signing them (I also expect it to happen) will only prolong the decline. We should be letting most of those OoC leave, but replacing them will take time and money.

| I didn’t realise how weak in the forwards you were. There was no go forward in attack and in defence it was weak stuff. You definitely need a few tough forwards. Win the game up front and your halfbacks and backs will get more time and space and look a lot better. There’s nobody taking the tough carries. Once Hall’s gone that’s another big hole to fill for those first few drives off a kick. Leeds used to rely a lot on Peacock for getting them over the advantage line. Nobody in the current squad is coming close to doing what he did and it shows. Leeds are soft up front.

| Peacock was a once in a lifetime player. There's no one in the game across the world even close to being as good as he was.

| Should Leeds look at Bill Tupou for a few years? He’d be a big upgrade on Sutcliffe at centre.

| I expect to see JJB, Delanney and Ablett getting contract extensions - that's the Leeds way.
As has been pointed out Thompson and Briscoe are Championship players at best - if that's the quality you sign that is where you end up.
Other than a new coach I don't expect any further squad strengthening.

| That`s a good point about Hall he does help out the forwards pretty much in the way McGilvary does.
Tom Briscoe whilst not the worse performer this year does not offer that bite when driving the ball out and for me offers little in attack these days.
Garbutt is the only player who can get anywhere near the type of forward we need and he is injured most of the time.
Whilst we have some good youngsters coming through it will take them at least 3 years to get there unless we let them go like we did with Jordan Roberts.
The way we are playing I do not share the confidence others have that we will walk the play offs and other teams will have us in their sights for sure.

| A few year ago the strength of team was the way we started sets and got a roll on but now opposition kick it to our full back who 9 times out of 10 just runs sideways.
Sutty went there yesterday and just did same. Sideways crabbing.
Forwards can't break a tackle apart from Garbutt and Ward and they never play.
I keep telling myself middle 8s should be ok but last 2 performances suggest we should be concerned.

| From the outside looking in, I was at the game yesterday and commented that the squad is such an average one compared to previous years. Go back four years and your team was quality all the way through. Now, there's nothing there to strike fear. Good on their day, but most teams are.
Just the nature of a golden generation, I'm afraid. You stick with those players, rightly, and pad it with some talented overseas players. The problem is that a golden generation that comes through together also retires together.
Sure you'll be back. The crop of young players is decent but none are half-backs.
