"I'm not speaking as a coach, I'm speaking as a bloke who doesn't want to see those tackles, if Shaun Wane is genuinely saying don't speak about this because we want to get away with it and he wants to continue getting away with it then I'm coming back saying you shouldn't be using those types of techniques"

Just watched the interview and hats off to Brian for his comments. The brutish tactics that Wigan players are coached is going to result in a career ending injury or possibly even worse. |

Whilst I think Shaun Wane is nothing more than a thug in a suit the blame for this type of stuff has to ultimately sit with the rfl.
A two game initial ban was derisory but to then reduce it sends a dangerous message.
If you want to stop something then give a 4+ game ban and don't bottle it at appeal. Otherwise you are just letting the Wanes of this world get away with it.
