Agreed about Laithwaite, what i have seen of Wire this season he looks to have come on a fair bit and looks like he belongs rather than just a young player getting some game time.

Meh, If he's carrying a niggle / pull etc I'd rather him get treatment on it now, than potentially playing on and making it worse.
Nothing to say he didnt put his hand up for selection or that he couldnt play, just makes sense this early in the season to get it sorted. Nothing worse than him aggravating something mid match and were down on interchanges.

Had his knee in a brace since the Hull game, just come off today.
So given he's not trained all week he wouldn't have been considered for selection. |
