| I'm a bit lucky I suppose get a day to get back into the swing of it and as has been said blow away the cobwebs and any hangover. I also have half the family Wakey fans and 1 Hunslet and 1 united so we usually have a good laugh and enjoy the banter on the terrace. If we didn't go to a game it would probably be an all day session in the local

Couldn't agree more if I'm honest.
Although now the Supporters Club has gone I don't know were to drink...Taps is now looking the best bet!

I'm not too sure about Turkey - especially with it making an appearance only the day before.

No quantity specified. I should really have put it on the bench, so it could be introduced any time

| Chris Clarkson and Darrel Griffin have picked up knocks so drop out Achurch and Singleton start at BR and FR respectively with Elliot Minchella receiving a call up.

Achurch was singing Minchella's praises. Said he didn't realise he was only 16 til someone told him. Be good to see how he gets on

| Makes me laugh when I keep hearing Peter Smith and Mcdermot saying we still have squad number 25 available for one player who has been oustanding from the young ones. Utter rubbish!!!!
It is blatantly obvious that this is going to Joe Vickery before anyone has even seen him in action. He has been signed up already (oh yes he has) and will get that number 25 shirt.
I am gutted for the likes of Watson, Chisolm etc or the others who are working hard coming through and a spot is given to someone who is not tested. What happens to these guys then?
Nothing against Vickery but when you have a player nurtured since her was 16, just starts training with the first team then pushed out due to an import makes a mockery of the whole academy set up.
I hope I am wrong but I am usually not.

| squad numbers mean nothing, whats the problem with watson being 26 or 34 or 51 etc. If he's good enough he'll play.
Heremaia at hull is 33, but you can guarantee he'll be in or around the 17 every week.

| I can see where W55ARE is coming from that 25 shirt should be seen as areward for earning it and IF what he says is right it does dis-credit it and make it a "hot air" issue from the respective coaches.
However like you MHL id like to think IF they young lads prove themselves they'll get their rewards but it didn't always happen last year i personally think Watson and Chisolm will be good players and in Sunley i think we have a gem but then i thought that about others released like D.Smith ,L.Teasdale etc etc

| Looking forward to seeing Jordan Baldwinson and Liam Sutcliffe play, coached them at SA and they are great lads. Tom Minns looks a good from that side to come through too, i cannot believe how he's developed over the years! Shame though that Brad Day and Micky Learmonth were let go, they were outstanding.

| Had no choice with Learmonth iirc Seth Wire made a top offer as they did when bastien took Broughton with him.
Agree re-Baldwinson , Minns and Sutcliffe all talented where do you think Sutcliffe will eventually play 6 or 13??
