I agree with you by the way, true supporters turn up week in week out regardless of the opposition.

It's more to do with being bored of watching your team playing poorly against whipping boy SL rabble but just having to turn up to win. Most Leeds fans have endured this crap for 27 rounds simply because they had invested in a season ticket. Thankfully, today's game isn't covered by the season ticket so they don't feel obliged to turn up and waste their hard-earned on another meaningless fixture where the result is not in doubt.


True supporters of the game realise they are being sold short by SL and are becoming increasingly more inclined to demand value for money by being offered games against credible opposition in a meaningful game. Today's opposition does not satisfy any of that criteria in any way, shape or form. No offence intended.

I would say the average attendance more reflects your true supporters. In this respect Leeds have a damn good following averaging 15,000 despite 3 very,very, poor regular seasons. In tough financial times some fans just won't shell out for extra games after having paid for their season tickets, strange but true. This is Wakeys cup final and I'm not suprised there bringing a mob over, but week in week out Leeds have a good number of hardcore supporters that keep the club ticking over.

I disagree to a large degree as the economic climate has dictated that some sections of the public simply dont have the £££ to turn up week in week out.

Also the SL product is certainly not worth the £££ these days.

They should merge with Cas and become a real threat to Featherstone.

They were great once though as their fans will remind you..........in the days of pot bellied props and turning up for training after a 12 hour shift.

Not certainly, I think £20 is reasonable for 2 hours of live sport, definitely better value and more entertainment than when I pay £34 to watch LUFC.
