| Easier to pick an all time Leeds side you'd enjoy watching most. Much as I'd like to include the likes of Gallagaher, Tuipolutu and Ian Scott this Leeds side would take some beating for entertainment value:
Andrew Ettingshausen
Eric Grothe
Garry Schofield
Craig Innes
Norman Francis
Cliff Lyons
Bobby Goulding
Barrie McDermott
Tony Fisher
Gary Rose
Craig Izzard
Alan Rathbone
Ellery Hanley
No one would mess with that pack of forwards!

| Quote Andy R="Andy R"Tigertot- I can understand your logic playing Sinfield at hooker but in 14 years at Leeds I bet he's only done it 5-10 times. Not sure you can name him there in a greatest side. Although it's all about opinions!'"
It was more based on his limited appearances there for GB. I'm not sure I've ever seen him there for Leeds, but I felt I had to fit him in somewhere. Ward was past his best when I first started watching Leeds. Maskill was average. Diskin was just coming to his best when he was cruelly injured for GB. Newton was far better at Wigan. Jackson, I almost put him on the subs bench, but concluded he wasn't at Leeds long enough. Buderus, while a better hooker than any of the aforementioned modern players is not the player he was, nor has he contributed to the extent of Sinfield in his time.

As ever, I was the model of professionalism & impartiality. I do look forward to the hardest 17 thread though.

Glanville.
Although i've left out some legends likes Holmes ,Atkinson ,Dyl ,i cant honestly say they were at their "peak" when i started watching and they were names my old man used to glow when talking about.
Also harsh on players like Roy Powell ,Godden ,Fallon ,Fleary ,Farrell ,Maskill ,Furner etc etc but it's hard to choos when the scope is so wide.
RE-Hanley not making it a fantastic player no doubts at all but i always have more fond memories of Glanville for some reason.'"
I've got a photo of myself with Marc Glanville,Brad Godden and ' marvellous' Marvin Golden taken in the old Lewis's department store. think it was 1999 cup final year. Oh and I spotted Leroy Rivett at East Leeds game last week

| Each to their own and all that, but I cant believe people have put Medley in their teams.
Fair enough, he scored plenty of spectacular tries in his time at Bradford, but from my vague memories, he was absolutely nothing special during his spell at Leeds. Infact, I'm sure I remember alot of people had him down as a bit of a hide and seek champion when the going got tough.
I may be totally confused and barking up the complete wrong tree here, but, wasnt part of the reason he left Leeds because the coaching staff didnt think he had his team mates backs covered for if/when it kicked off?
I can recall being mighty p*ssed off at how he ran the ball in with such vigour for Bradford, when for Leeds he was a big wet lettuce.

| I'm on my 13th Season Ticket which puts my first season with a ST at 1998. Attended games before that but with parents and didn't pay much attention.
The problem I have with this is that I have one of the very worst memories in the world, so this is likely to be very recent in most cases...

[size=85*Not seen him mentioned yet. It may be nostalgia but I'll always have a soft-spot for Scotty and remember some glorious tries and him as a massive contributor to the '3 in a Row' team.
**Just want him in the team somewhere.[/size

| Quote Gotcha="Gotcha"Presumed you had been watching longer than that for some reason. Apologies for probably adding on years.
I have to be honest and say that although watching since 1978, I can't honestly remember off the top of my head some of the names, even though in reality they were actually pretty good players in their own right.
ET, Harris, Sinfield, Hanley, Schofield, Crooks, Tunks, McGuire, Morley, Ellis, Grothe, Morris, are all players I can say off the top of my head I would look to place in a best team though.
Edit: Forgot to add David Ward, and one of my all time favouries despite only playing a short while, Izzard.'"
Thought about it now a bit, although still unsure.
